Anniversary of the Church in San Antonio de los Baños
BUILDING A NEW WORLD
2 PETER 1:1-11
“And you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom
of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
2 Peter 1:11
If it were up to you to create a new world, how would you build it? We might be full of the best proposals and
ideas, and in building a new world we would possibly make it a bit better than
it is today. Let us nevertheless remember that we are after all human beings
and that nothing we make with our hands can be perfect. A world constructed by ourselves would
therefore not be the best place to live.
God has inaugurated his Kingdom. It
is a Kingdom of justice, order, and fraternity among all. Christ has already set its foundation; God
simply invites us to collaborate in the construction of his kingdom. We need God; we need his initiative, his
direction and his power, so that the new world will have solid and firm
foundations over which to build. What a great joy it is to be able to build a
new world with the Lord and for the Lord!
Prayer: Our God of
goodness, thank you for granting us the
privilege to collaborate with your Kingdom. Amen.

CONSTRUIR UN MUNDO NUEVO
2 PEDRO 1:1-11
“Porque de esta manera os será abundantemente
administrada la entrada en el reino eterno
de nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo”
2 Pedro 1:11
Si en tus manos estuviese el crear
un nuevo mundo ¿Cómo lo construirías? Es posible que estemos llenos de los
mejores propósitos e ideas, y al construir
nuestro nuevo mundo lo haríamos un poco mejor de lo que es hoy. Sin embargo,
recordemos que, como seres humanos al fin, nada de lo que hacemos puede ser
perfecto. Un mundo construido por
nosotros mismos no sería por lo tanto el mejor lugar para vivir. Dios ha
inaugurado su Reino. Es un Reino de justicia, orden y fraternidad entre todos.
El fundamento ya Cristo lo ha puesto, Dios sólo nos invita a colaborar en la
construcción de su reino. Necesitamos de Dios, de su iniciativa, de su
orientación, y de su poder, de tal manera que el mundo nuevo tenga bases
sólidas y firmes sobre las cuales edificar.
¡Qué gozo tan grande el de poder construir un
mundo nuevo con el Señor y para el Señor!
Oración: Nuestro Buen Dios,
gracias porque tú nos concedes el privilegio de colaborar con tu Reino. Amén.
