CHRISTMAS EVE
LUKE 2:25-35
“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ
the Lord.”
Luke 2:11
In the countries of Latin America there grows a
beautiful plant with bright red leaves and tiny yellow flowers. We call it the Christmas Eve Flower. It is also known as the Christmas Flower or the
Fire Flower.
“Nochebuena” or
“Christmas Eve” is what we call December twenty-fourth, the night before
Christmas. The Christmas Eve celebration
is at the heart of all Christmas festivities.
In many countries there are those who celebrate it by attending a
worship service at church. Families
gather together for a meal, and later they open gifts at midnight.
If you are
bitter and suffering or the burden you are bearing does not allow you to
experience the joyfulness of this Christmas Eve, think about the best gift that
God could have given us: our
Savior. Then your crying will be turned
into laughter and your lament into dance.
Our celebration is truly complete when we accept the gift of God in
Jesus Christ. When we accept this gift,
we receive a new and complete life perspective.
Christmas
is complete only when we receive God’s gift.
Let us pray that those who need comfort and love may receive the God
Child.
Prayer : Beloved God, thank you for Your Son Jesus
Christ. Help us to remember that all we have to do is to receive him in our
hearts. Thank you for always being by our side.
Grant that we may be vigilant and attentive to the birth of your
Son. Put joy in our hearts in order to
receive him. Amen.
NOCHEBUENA
LUCAS 2:25-35

un Salvador, que es Cristo el Señor”

En países de Latinoamérica, crece una hermosa planta
que tiene unas hojas de un rojo vívido con pequeñísimas flores amarillas. Le
decimos Flor de Nochebuena. También se le conoce como Flor de Pascuas o Flor de
Fuego.
“Nochebuena” le llamamos a la noche de este día, 24 de diciembre, la
víspera de Navidad. La celebración de la
víspera de la Navidad es el corazón de la festividad navideña. En muchas
naciones hay quienes la celebran yendo a un servicio de adoración en la
Iglesia. Las familias se reúnen para cenar, y luego abren los regalos a
medianoche.
Si usted carga con alguna amargura o su carga no le permite vivir la alegría
de esta nochebuena piense en el mejor regalo que Dios nos haya podido dar:
nuestro Salvador. Entonces su llanto se
transformará en risa y su lamento en danza. Nuestra celebración es
verdaderamente completa cuando aceptamos el regalo de Dios en Jesucristo.
Cuando aceptamos este regalo, recibimos una nueva y completa perspectiva de
vida.
La Navidad está completa sólo cuando recibimos el regalo de Dios. Oremos
porque aquellas personas necesitadas de consuelo y amor reciban al niño Dios.
Oración: Querido Dios, gracias por Tu Hijo Jesucristo. Ayúdanos a recordar que todo
lo que tenemos que hacer es recibirlo en nuestros corazones. Gracias por estar
siempre a nuestro lado. Permite que estemos vigilantes y a la expectativa del
nacimiento de tu Hijo. Pon alegría en nuestros corazones para recibirle. Amén.
