LET THERE BE NO LACK OF JOY!

JOHN 16:20-24

“…you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.”

1 Thessalonians 1:6

Optimism is a very important value in life. Some people spend their time complaining or looking around themselves with eyes reflecting defeat and pessimism. At the slightest obstacle these people abandon their efforts and consider it useless to continue fighting for their dreams. If the first Christians had not devoted themselves to their evangelistic task with optimism and faith, they may have withdrawn at the slightest obstacle.

It is true that we carry many burdens upon our shoulders, but faithful is he who promised that our grief will turn to joy. The blessings that God provides for us each day should encourage us to live with joy and hope.  Let us not waste time thinking about what we lack in order to be happy.  Let us live life with joy in our hearts.  Let us take advantage of every moment with our families, of every service that we can render wherever God places us.

Upon beginning a new project or a new purpose, let us be optimists and allow God to take control of our decisions.

Let there be no lack of joy and happiness!  Let us deny passage to bitterness and pessimism!

Prayer: Lord, forgive the occasional lack of faith and the pessimism with which I face my tasks.  Help me to have trust and to confront each challenge with hope, joy and optimism. Amen.

¡QUE NO FALTE EL GOZO!

JUAN 16:20-24

“Ustedes recibieron la palabra con gozo del Espíritu Santo,

aún en medio de muchos sufrimientos”

1 Tesalonicenses 1:6

El optimismo es un valor muy importante en la vida. Algunas personas pasan el tiempo quejándose o mirando a su alrededor con los lentes de la derrota y el pesimismo. Al menor tropiezo estas personas abandonan sus esfuerzos y consideran que es inútil continuar luchando por sus sueños.

Si los primeros cristianos no se hubieran entregado a la tarea evangelizadora con optimismo y fe, quizás al menor tropiezo hubieran claudicado.

Es verdad que llevamos muchas cargas sobre nuestros hombros, pero fiel es el que prometió que nuestra tristeza se convertirá en gozo.

Las bendiciones que Dios nos prodiga cada día deben alentarnos a vivir con gozo y esperanza. No perdamos el tiempo pensando en lo que nos falta para ser felices. Vivamos la vida con gozo en el corazón. Aprovechemos cada tiempo con la familia, cada servicio que podemos prestar en el lugar dónde Dios nos pone.

Al enfrentar un nuevo proyecto o una nueva meta seamos optimistas y permitamos que Dios tome el control de nuestras decisiones.

¡Que no falte el gozo y la alegría! Cerremos el paso a la amargura y el pesimismo!

Oración: Señor, perdona la falta de fe en ocasiones y el pesimismo con el que me enfrento a mis tareas. Ayúdame a tener confianza y a enfrentar cada desafío con esperanza, alegría y optimismo. Amén.
