YOU WILL ALWAYS CALL HER MAMA
PROVERBS 1:8-9
Honor
your father and mother so your days may be long in the land
that the Lord your God is giving you.
Exodus
20:12
I want to share with
you a legend of the day before Mother’s Day as a tribute to all our mothers. It’s
said that a wee angel in heaven was taking his turn being born as a child. Worried,
he struck up the following dialogue with God:
“They tell me that
tomorrow you’re sending me to earth; but how am I going to live, being so small
and defenseless?”
God answered him
saying, “I have chosen one among the many angels for you, who is now waiting
and will take care of you,”
“But tell me”, said
the wee angel, “here in heaven I just sing and smile. This is enough to be
happy?”
God replied saying, “Your
angel will sing and smile to you every day, and you will feel her love and you
will be happy.”
Still anxious, the
wee angel continued, “And, how am I to understand what people are saying if I
don’t know the strange language human beings speak?”
To which God
responds, “Your angel will speak to you in the sweetest and most tender words
you might ever hear, and patiently and lovingly will teach you to speak.”
“And what do I do
when I want to speak with you?” persists the wee angel.
“Your angel will take
your hand and teach you to pray, and then you’ll be able to talk to Me.”, said
God.
“I’ve heard there are
bad people on earth,” continued the wee angel, “How am I to defend myself?”
“Your angel will protect
you at the cost of her own life,” answered God.
“But I’ll always be
sad because I’ll never see you again,” mourned the wee angel.
“Your angel will
always speak to you of me, and teach you the way to return to my presence, although
I will always be at your side,” God insists.
At that instant a
great peace reigned in heaven; but terrestrial voices were also heard, and the
wee angel, with tears in his wee eyes, hastened to repeat, sobbing, “My God, if
I’m to leave, please tell me her name. How should I call my angel?” God answers, “The name is not important. You
will always call her Mama.
Prayer: Thank you, Lord,
for our mothers. Bless them. Amen.

TÚ SIEMPRE LE DIRÁS MAMÁ
PROVERBIOS 1:8-9
enseñará a hablar.
-
¿Y qué haré cuando quiera hablar contigo?
-
Tu ángel te juntará las manitas y te enseñará a orar y podrás hablarme.
-
siempre estaré a tu lado.
-
Su nombre no importa. Tu siempre le dirás… MAMÁ
Oración: Gracias Señor, por nuestras madres. Bendícelas.
Amén.
