THE MOST DISTINGUISHED GUEST
Hebrews 13:8
“Here is
the Lamb of God who takes way the sin of the world.”

To speak of Jesus Christ is to speak of the most
important person who has ever existed on earth; and not only in this world, but
for all eternity. The world in which we live has had the privilege of accommodating
this distinguished guest, who is and will be for centuries the Lord of Lords
and the King of Kings.
Like God, Jesus Christ
has been misunderstood and misinterpreted by millions of people throughout
history; and not only that, but also even the word “Jesus Christ” has fallen
into disuse in many places, even in Christian circles. Many utilize the name of
Jesus Christ as a tag, or a magical instrument, or as just one more word in
their vocabulary, or as a misunderstood balm, a catchword which should be in
our prayers. And all this without truly having a real understanding and
awareness of who Jesus Christ is.
What does it mean to
you? How do you respond before Jesus knowing that he is the Messiah, Lord, and
Son of God?
Prayer: Lord, I want to accept you and recognize you
as the reason for my faith. Amen.

Hablar de Jesucristo es hablar de la persona más
importante que haya existido en esta tierra, y no sólo en esta tierra, sino por
toda la eternidad. El mundo que habitamos, ha tenido el privilegio de albergar
a este distinguido huésped, que es y será, por los siglos, el Señor de los
Señores y Rey de Reyes.
Al igual que Dios, Jesucristo ha sido mal entendido y mal interpretado por
millones de hombres a lo largo de la historia, y no sólo eso, sino que aún la
misma palabra Jesucristo ha caído en desuso en muchos lugares, hasta en los círculos
cristianos. Muchos utilizamos el nombre de Jesús como una muletilla, como un
instrumento de magia, como una palabra más en nuestro vocabulario, como un
consuelo mal entendido, como una palabra que a fuerza debe estar en nuestras
oraciones y todo esto, sin que realmente haya un entendimiento real y
consciente de quién es Jesucristo.

¿Cómo respondes ante Jesús sabiendo que él es Mesías, Señor e Hijo de Dios?
Oración: Señor, quiero aceptarte y
reconocerte como la razón de mi fe. Amén.
