I AM AT THE DOOR
Revelation 3:20-22
“…be like those who are waiting for the master
to return from the wedding banquet
so that they
may open the door for him as soon as he comes and knocks”
Luke 12:36
Jesus compares our life to a house whose owner
is Christ himself, and we are the renters. Therefore, when we are in our house
we are really in his. We have furnished our dwellings according to our
interests and tastes; we have organized our lives, our endeavors similarly. In
other words, we have moved in. He, the Savior, is still outside, at the door.
Perhaps he has been there for quite some time, and he could remain there longer
yet, because he is patient. Will we let him in? Will we open the door? This is
the issue: We have the key, it’s for the inside. He is on the outside calling
and waiting. We should make a decision. Are we one of those who don’t open, or
one of those who say, “I’ll open later” ? Or are we among those who decide to
open without delay?
Ask yourself on what side of the door Jesus is
found: inside or outside, at the exterior or interior of our lives? Our whole
being changes if he lives within us. So if you still haven’t done so, open it
to him right now.
Prayer: Lord, I open all my doors to you today: that
of my house, my life, and my heart. My table is ready and awaits you.

ESTOY A LA PUERTA
Apocalipsis 3:20-22

Jesús compara nuestra vida
con una casa cuyo propietario es Él y nosotros somos sus inquilinos. Por lo
tanto, cuando estamos en nuestra casa, realmente estamos en la suya. Hemos amueblado
nuestra vivienda según nuestras conveniencias y gustos; hemos organizado
nuestra vida, nuestros proyectos; en otras palabras, nos hemos instalado. Él,
el Salvador, todavía está afuera, a la puerta. Está ahí quizás desde hace mucho
tiempo, y podría seguir ahí durante
mucho tiempo, porque es paciente. ¿Lo dejaremos entrar? ¿Le abriremos la
puerta? Ahí está el asunto. Nosotros tenemos la llave; está por la parte de
adentro. Él está al exterior, llama y espera. Debemos tomar una decisión.
¿Formamos parte de los que no abren, de los que dicen: “Abriré más tarde”? ¿O
somos de los que deciden abrir sin tardar?
Preguntémonos de qué lado
de la puerta se halla Jesús: ¿adentro o afuera, al exterior o al interior de
nuestras vidas? Todo nuestro ser cambia si Él vive en nosotros. Así que sin aún
no lo has hecho, ábrele ahora mismo.
Oración: Señor, hoy te abro todas mis puertas: la de mi casa,
la de mi vida, la de mi corazón. Mi mesa está lista y espera por ti.
