PRAY FOR EVERYONE
1 Timothy 2:1-8
“May my prayer be set before you like incense;
May the lifting up of my hands be like the
evening sacrifice.”
Psalm 141:2
The apostle Paul exhorts us, above all, to offer
prayers and supplication for all men and women, without preference, because it
is God’s will. The idea is that all people need prayer. In all certainty, you have never met someone
for whom you could not or should not pray.
The majority of Christians find it easy to pray
for their families and for their friends, but it should not stop there. We must also pray for our enemies and for
those with whom we are in conflict. We
should pray for those who annoy us, and for those who seem to be against
us. Each one of these cases is included
in the recommendation to pray for
everyone.
We should pray for our friends who need to know
Jesus, for our co-workers, and for others with whom we have regular contact. But
we also need to pray for our pastors, to pray for the Church and to pray for
all of the ministries we know.
Prayer for people who are in authority is so
that they will govern with justice, allowing for the Gospel to be glorified.
Our Christian duty is to pray without ceasing.
Prayer: I pray for all the needy, entrusting them to your mercy.

ORAR POR TODOS
1 Timoteo 2:1-8

El
apóstol Pablo nos exhorta, ante todo, a hacer rogativas y oraciones por todos
los hombres y mujeres, sin caer en preferencias, porque esa es la voluntad de
Dios. La idea es que todos los hombres necesitan oración. Con toda seguridad,
nunca has conocido a alguien por quien no puedas o no debas orar.
A la mayoría de los cristianos les resulta fácil orar por sus familias y
sus amigos, pero no debe terminar ahí. También hay que orar por nuestros
enemigos y por aquellos con quienes tenemos conflicto. Debemos orar por quienes
nos molestan, y por quienes parecen estar en nuestra contra. Cada uno de estos
casos se incluye en la recomendación de orar por todos los hombres.
Debemos
orar por nuestros amigos que necesitan conocer a Jesús, por nuestros compañeros
de trabajo, y por otros con los que tengamos contacto regular. Pero también
debemos orar por nuestros pastores, orar por la Iglesia y orar por todos los
ministerios que conozcas.
La
oración por las personas que están en autoridad es para que gobiernen con
justicia, permitiendo que el Evangelio sea glorificado.
Nuestro deber cristiano es
orar constantemente.
Oración: Ruego por todas las personas necesitadas, las confío
a tu misericordia.
