BLESSINGS
1 PETER 3:8-12
Do not repay evil
for evil or abuse for abuse; but, on the contrary, repay with a blessing. It is
for this that you were called–that you might inherit a blessing.
1 Peter 3:9
Without a doubt a blessing has a “boomerang” effect. When
someone says “God bless you” to you, I think that he is not only wishing you
well but is also acting in his own behalf, because when you bless someone else,
you attract God’s favor toward you. The effect of a blessing is magnified by
the fact that it is given by God to his children. The blessing invokes God’s
active support for the well-being of the person, speaks of gratitude and gives
happiness and prosperity to the person who receives our good wishes.
Blessings begin at home in the relationships between parents
and their children. Those little ones who receive the gift of a blessing from
the hand of their parents have a good spiritual and emotional start in life.
They receive a foundation of love and acceptance. This principal also applies
to the relationship of couples; friendships are deepened and strengthened; the
brotherhood of the Church increases, bringing companionship, health and hope to
many who have never received a word of blessing. The power of life and death is
in the Word. When we give a blessing, life is given not only to the one who
receives the blessing but also to the one who gives it.
I encourage you to deliver blessings wherever you go, not
only in words but also in deeds. They will return to you when you least expect
it. Generally, the person who lives in
God’s presence, loving and obeying God always enjoys a divine blessing.
Prayer: Bless me, good God, and spread your blessing over everyone,
especially those who seek a sign of your revelation today. Amen.

LA BENDICIÓN
1 PEDRO 3:8-12

bendiciendo, sabiendo que fuisteis llamados para que heredaseis bendición.

Sin dudas, la bendición tiene un efecto boomerang. Cuando alguien te dice “Dios
te bendiga”, pienso que no solo te está deseando lo mejor para ti, sino que
también está actuando a favor suyo, pues cuando bendices a alguien también
atraes el favor de Dios hacia ti. El efecto de la bendición es multiplicador ya
que es dado por Dios a sus hijos e hijas. La bendición invoca el apoyo activo
de Dios para el bienestar de la persona, habla del agradecimiento y confiere
felicidad y prosperidad en la persona que
recibe buenos deseos de nuestra parte.
La bendición comienza en el hogar, en las
relaciones de padres e hijos. Los pequeños que reciben el regalo de la
bendición de parte de sus padres, tienen un buen comienzo espiritual y
emocional en la vida. Reciben un fundamento de amor y aceptación. Este
principio también se aplica a la relación de la pareja, las amistades se
profundizan y fortalecen, la hermandad
de las iglesias se incrementa trayendo compañerismo, sanidad y esperanza a
muchos que nunca han recibido una palabra de bendición. El poder de la vida y
la muerte está en la Palabra. Al bendecir se otorga vida, no solo al que recibe
la bendición, sino también al que la da.
Te invito a que repartas bendiciones donde vayas, no solo de palabras,
sino de hechos. Ellas volverán a ti
cuando menos lo esperes. En general, la persona que vive en la presencia de Dios, amándole y
obedeciéndole, goza siempre de la bendición divina.
Oración: Bendíceme,
mi buen Dios, y expande tu
bendición a todos, especialmente a los
que hoy imploran una señal de tu revelación. Amén.
