A NEW PROPOSAL
MATTHEW 12:46-50
Here are my mother
and my brothers!
For whoever does
the will of my Father in heaven

Rosario
Flores, a Spanish singer, once said, “When you have a family that lets you
express yourself, it is the best thing that can happen in life”. And it is the family that is the most
necessary and important foundation for the life of each human being.
In this
passage, Jesus advocates for the right that we have to family, the people with
whom we live, whom we respect and who form part of the plan of life chosen for
us and ours to live. Once again, he shows us a different way of living as
family, respecting life’s paths chosen by each member of our family, accepting
the options and expressions of each one, allowing the authenticity of the other
ones so that we can construct a different proposal which is consistent with our
Christian principles.
Prayer: Thank you, God, for showing me the way of life as part of a family,
for allowing me to be able to understand and respect the people with whom I
live and providing me with the means to help them realize their life’s goals. Amen.

UNA NUEVA PROPUESTA
MATEO 12:46-50
Estos son mi madre y mis hermanos. Porque cualquiera
que hace la voluntad de mi Padre que está en el cielo,
ese es mi hermano, mi hermana y mi madre.

Rosario Flores, cantante
española, dijo en una ocasión: “cuando tienes una familia que te deja que te
expreses, es lo mejor que te puede pasar en la vida” y es que la familia es el
cimiento más necesario e importante para la existencia de cada ser humano.
Jesús en este pasaje aboga por
el derecho que tenemos a que nuestra familia, las personas con las que
convivimos, respeten y formen parte del
proyecto de vida escogido por nosotros y nosotras para vivir.
Una vez más nos muestra
una manera diferente para vivir en familia, respetando los caminos de
vida elegidos por cada miembro de nuestro hogar, aceptando las opciones y
expresiones de cada cual, permitiendo la autenticidad del otro y de la
otra para que podamos construir una
propuesta diferente consecuente con nuestros principios cristianos.
Oración: Gracias Dios, por haberme mostrado el camino para vivir
en familia, permite que pueda comprender
y respetar a las personas con las que
convivo y provéeme de maneras para
ayudarlo a realizar sus proyectos de vida. Amén.
