CHRISTMAS,
SOURCE OF OPTIMISM

LUKE 2: 1-7

And she gave birth to her firstborn son

 and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger,

 because there was no place for them at the inn.

Luke 2:7

Christmas is the source of optimism and of assurance for the future since God our Father did not disappoint humanity. Rather, with the birth of Jesus Christ, and later on in his resurrection, God affirmed forever the promise of salvation for humanity. That promise is made real today as history reaches toward full LIFE in the midst of vigorous struggles. Let us take note that while there was no place for this child to be born, where everything seemed impossible, God made life spring forth; God gave birth to his Son. What a great stroke of optimism!

To celebrate Christmas is not to celebrate a memory but to celebrate the joy of a future which has begun in the past and continues into the present with mighty acts in history. Celebrate Christmas! Fill your house with love and joy and meet with your brothers and sisters in the faith to give thanks to God and praise God. Christmas is a feast of optimism fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Christmas belongs to all and is for all. CHRISTMAS IS GOD WITH US NOW AND FOREVER.

Prayer: Thank you, God, for the birth of your beloved Son Jesus. Bless this Christmas and allow it to be one of love, of joy, of peace and commitment to you and to your kingdom of justice. Amen.

NAVIDAD, FUENTE DE OPTIMISMO

LUCAS 2: 1-7

Así que dio a luz a su hijo primogénito. Lo envolvió en pañales

y lo acostó en un pesebre, porque no había lugar

para ellos en la posada

La navidad es la fuente del optimismo y de la seguridad en el futuro, pues Dios, nuestro padre, no defraudó a la humanidad, sino que con el nacimiento, de Jesucristo y luego su resurrección, quedó afianzado para siempre el compromiso por la salvación de la humanidad, lo cual hoy se realiza en la historia que asciende hacia la VIDA plena en medio de esfuerzos y luchas. Percatémonos de que no había lugar para el nacimiento de este niño, sin embargo, allí dónde todo parecía imposible, Dios hace brotar la vida, Dios hace nacer a su hijo. ¡Qué mayor fuete de optimismo que esta!

Celebrar la Navidad no es celebrar solo un recuerdo, sino que es festejar la alegría de un futuro que ha comenzado en el pasado y continúa en el presente con poderosas obras en la historia.

¡Festeja la Navidad! llena tu casa de amor y de gozo y reúnete con tus hermanos en la fe para dar gracias a Dios y alabarle. La Navidad es una fiesta de optimismo que se realiza en Jesucristo. La Navidad es de todos y para todos. NAVIDAD ES DIOS CON NOSOTROS AHORA Y SIEMPRE

Oración: Gracias Dios, por el nacimiento de tu amado Hijo Jesús. Bendícenos y permite que estas Navidades sean de amor, de alegría, de paz y de compromiso hacia ti y hacia tu reino de justicia. Amén.
