WHAT JESUS PROPOSES
1 TIMOTHY 6:11-19

In his teachings
Jesus speaks of life, peace, joy, and hope. Furthermore, he speaks of forgiveness
and the possibility of beginning again.
The life that Jesus
proposes is not only interesting, but also exciting. And it’s worthwhile. Millions
of people now follow Jesus after having once been indifferent. But on a certain
day they discovered the veracity of his message. This changed their lives. In
today’s world, there is a great wave of indifference in our modern societies,
people who don’t identify with any project nor commit themselves to anything.
Their lives lack a sense of direction.
But Jesus offers us
that possibility. In his hands, we can be a new creation. Like an antique
violin, upon it being auctioned, the auctioneer thought he couldn’t ask much
for it. He began to auction it without many illusions, asking little money for
it. Nevertheless, a man who found himself in the room asked for permission to
play it. He cleaned the instrument and
played it. Beautiful music was heard, and in an instant its value changed;
those present began to bid great sums for it. Someone asked, “why did the price
of the violin change?” The reply wasn’t
long in coming: it was due to the hands of the master.
Jesus is this Master,
capable of extracting the best music from us. Let’s not be indifferent before
this reality; let us surrender to him.
God can make a change
in your life. This change is possible through Jesus.
Prayer: Thank you, my God, for the possibility you offer us
through your son to embrace a new life. Amen.

Jesús en sus
enseñanzas habla de vida, paz, gozo, esperanza. Habla además de perdón y de la
posibilidad de empezar de nuevo.
La vida que
Jesús propone no sólo es interesante, sino apasionante. Y vale la pena.
Actualmente millones de personas siguen a Jesús, después de haber sido
indiferentes. Pero cierto día descubrieron la veracidad de su mensaje. Esto les
cambió la vida. En la actualidad hay una gran ola de indiferencia en nuestras
sociedades modernas. Muchas personas prefieren vivir enajenadas, sin
identificarse con ningún proyecto, ni comprometerse con nada. Sus vidas están
carentes de sentido. Pero Jesús nos ofrece esa posibilidad. En sus manos
podemos ser una nueva creación. Como el violín antiguo que al ser subastado, el
rematador pensaba que muy poco podía pedir por él. Comenzó a subastarlo sin
muchas ilusiones y pidiendo muy poco dinero. Sin embargo un hombre que se encontraba
en la sala pidió permiso, lo limpió y lo tocó. Una música hermosa se escuchó y
al momento cambió su valor, los presentes comenzaron a pedir grandes sumas por
él. Alguien preguntó: ¿qué cambió el valor del violín? La respuesta no se hizo
esperar: las manos del maestro.
Jesús es ese
Maestro capaz de sacar la mejor música de nosotros. No seamos indiferentes ante
esta realidad y entreguémonos a él.
Dios puede
hacer un cambio en tu vida. Este cambio
es posible por medio de Jesús.
Oración:
Gracias mi Dios, por la posibilidad que nos ofreces a través de tu hijo de
abrazar una nueva vida. Amén.
