PRAY, AND PRAY MORE

EPHESIANS 6:18-24

And pray in the Spirit,

on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.

With this in mind,

be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. (NIV)

Ephesians 6:18

Prayer is the best manner of communication with God, the shortest way to tell him, ask him, thank him, or simply to have a moment for Him.

It’s not important if we do it alone, in silence, together with others, or in community. It’s not important whether we pray for our needs and problems or for our joys. The important, and truly significant thing is to dedicate some minutes each day to prayer.

Prayer is comforting to us; and we nearly always receive a reply, perhaps not what we’d hoped for or wanted, but yes, we can be sure that God is listening to us and helps us to confront our problems and needs in a distinct manner. God will lead us to find the solution that it seems so difficult to make.

Even though it may only be a moment, may we take it each day to pray to God, before beginning the journey, and later, upon ending it.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for today’s message. Teach me to pray. Amen.

EFESIOS 6:18-24

No dejen ustedes de orar; rueguen y pidan a Dios siempre

guiados por el Espíritu Santo. Manténganse alerta,

sin desanimarse, y oren por todo el pueblo santo.

Efesios 6:18

Orar es la mejor manera de comunicarnos con Dios, el camino más corto para contarle, pedirle, agradecerle o simplemente tener un momento para Él.

No importa si lo hacemos a solas, en silencio, junto a otros, en comunidad. No importa si oramos por nuestras necesidades y problemas, o por nuestras alegrías. Lo importante y verdaderamente significativo es dedicar cada día unos minutos a la oración.

Orar reconforta. Y casi siempre una respuesta obtenemos, tal vez no la que esperábamos o queríamos, pero sí podemos tener la seguridad de que Dios nos escucha y nos ayuda a enfrentar nuestros problemas y necesidades de una manera distinta. Dios nos llevará a encontrar la solución que nos parecía tan difícil tomar.

Tengamos cada día de nuestras vidas, aunque sea un minuto para orar a Dios. Antes de empezar la jornada y luego al terminarla.

Oración: Gracias Señor, por el mensaje de hoy. Enséñame a orar. Amén.
