EVERYTHING HAS A TIME OR SEASON

ECCLESIASTES 3:1-15

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot. (NIV)

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

These are wise words. I think sometimes we humans don’t understand them, especially when we live in a society where there are not enough hours in the day to do all that we have planned. But if we think about how God himself took his time to create the world and humankind, why should we rush to achieve what we want?

We live in a constantly changing world where perhaps without realizing it we change the course of our lives simply by failing to wait for the proper time or season.

The preacher is trying to tell us to make the most of the time given us by our Heavenly Father, to use it wisely and never forget that it is a great gift God has given us.

We really cannot know how much time God has given us to live. Therefore, we should not waste the valuable and precious gift we have in this earthly life. Every morning when we open our eyes let us trust in him and learn from every moment of our lives, so that we can grow and mature spiritually on the road to eternal life.

Prayer: Thank you Father, for believing and trusting human beings. We believe you have a time for each of us, and may your will, not ours, be done. Amen.

TODO TIENE SU HORA O SU TIEMPO

ECLESIASTÉS 3:1-15

En este mundo todo tiene su hora; hay un momento para todo cuanto ocurre: un momento para nacer, y un momento

para morir. Un momento para plantar,

y un momento para arrancar lo plantado.

Eclesiastés 3:1-2

Estas palabras son sabias. Creo que a veces los seres humanos no las entendemos, y más aún cuando vivimos en una sociedad donde no nos alcanza las horas del día para hacer lo que nos proponemos. Pero pensemos que si el mismo Dios se tomó su tiempo para la creación del mundo y de toda la humanidad ¿Por qué deberíamos nosotros acelerarnos para lograr lo que queremos?

Vivimos en un mundo siempre cambiante donde tal vez sin darnos cuenta modificamos el curso de nuestras vidas tan solo por no esperar la hora o el tiempo indicados.

El predicador nos quiere decir que aprovechemos el tiempo que nos es dado por el Padre Celestial, que seamos inteligentes a la hora de utilizarlo y nunca olvidemos que es un gran don que Dios nos ha entregado.

Realmente no sabemos el tiempo que Dios nos regala para vivir. Por eso, no debemos desperdiciar el valioso y precioso don que tenemos en este paso por el mundo terrenal, y cada vez que abramos nuestros ojos al amanecer, confiemos en Él y aprendamos de cada uno de los momentos que nos toca vivir para que así podamos crecer y madurar espiritualmente en el camino hacia la vida eterna.

Oración: Gracias Padre, por creer y confiar en los seres humanos. Creemos en tu tiempo para cada uno de nosotros, haciéndose tu voluntad y no la nuestra. Amén.
