A SAFE REFUGE
DEUTERONOMY 33:26-29
The eternal God is your refuge,
and underneath are the everlasting arms. (NIV)
Deuteronomy 33:27
We often place Bible verses in the bulletin our church uses on
Sundays for worship service. On one occasion, during a prayer meeting, we asked
if anyone was reading them, and to our surprise the testimonies were
spiritually comforting. strengthening, with the surety that God is accompanying
them.
The verse we’ve chosen this day speaks of the eternity of God. We,
as human beings, are in this world, and one day will leave, but God remains,
always the same. He accompanied our parents and grandparents, and will
accompany our children and grandchildren until the day of his return. He is our
refuge and will continue being our support.
How pleasant to know that we have a place of refuge, a place to go
to when things aren’t as we would wish! God is this place. At times, it can be
reached with a single verse, as if everything that God is were concentrated in
it. Other times we need something more. Are you encouraged today by memorizing
this verse? So, when you need strength and trust, you can remember it and it
will be of great help
Prayer: Help me, Lord, to read your word as it
deserves, and as I need it: in my heart. Help me also to share it with others.

En el boletín que nuestra
Iglesia usa los domingos para el culto de adoración, muchas veces colocamos
versículos bíblicos. En una ocasión durante una célula de oración preguntamos
si alguien los leía, y para sorpresa nuestra los testimonios fueron de alivio de
espíritu, de fortaleza y de seguridad de que Dios los acompaña.
El versículo que hemos
elegido para este día nos habla de la eternidad de Dios. Los seres humanos
estamos en este mundo y un día partimos, pero Dios permanece, siempre es el
mismo. Él acompañó a nuestros padres y abuelos y acompañará a nuestros hijos y
nietos hasta el día de su regreso. Él es nuestro refugio y seguirá siendo
nuestro apoyo.
¡Qué agradable saber que
tenemos un lugar donde refugiarnos, un lugar donde acudir cuando las cosas no están
como deseamos! Ese lugar es Dios. A veces alcanza con apenas un versículo, como
si en él estuviera concentrado todo lo que es Dios, otras veces necesitamos de
algo más.
¿Se anima usted hoy a memorizar este versículo? Así cuando necesite de
fuerzas y de confianza, lo puede recordar y será de gran ayuda.
Oración: Ayúdame Señor, a leer tu Palabra como ella se
merece y como yo la necesito: con el corazón. Ayúdame también a compartirla con otros. Amén.
