GOD IS PATIENT
HOSEA 5:8-15
I will return again to my
place until they acknowledge their guilt and seek my face.
In their distress they
will beg my favor.

God waits and gives us the
impression that He will do it again and again.
What patience with us He has!
I like this image and it
seems proper for the actual “comings and goings” that we do, where no one is capable of waiting for anyone. We all lack time and we operate under the
premise of making the best use of the hours, minutes and seconds given to
us. This is also true for the faith
communities in which we congregate and seek God.
In these times when “time
is gold”, patience is a virtue that we must discover in the gospel. Maybe there we can begin the path of
returning to God. The first step is
recognizing the mistakes we make with those with whom we live day to day.
Meanwhile, God waits for
us.
Prayer: Good and gracious God,
grant us wisdom and humility to turn from our sin, accepting your mercy and
your merciful gaze. Amen.

DIOS ES
PACIENTE
OSEAS
5:8-15
Me iré y
volveré a mi lugar hasta que
reconozcan
su culpa y busquen mi rostro.

Dios espera y
nos da la impresión de que lo hace una y otra vez. ¡Qué paciencia nos tiene!
Esa imagen me
gusta y me parece adecuada para el actual “ida y vuelta” que tenemos en el cual
nadie es capaz de esperar a nadie. A todos nos falta el tiempo y la premisa de
la optimización de las horas, los minutos y los segundos nos toca también de
cerca a las comunidades de la fe en las cuales nos congregamos y buscamos a
Dios.
En el tiempo de
“el tiempo es oro” la paciencia es una virtud que debemos descubrir en el
evangelio.
Quizás por ahí
comience el camino de volvernos a Dios.
El primer paso
para comenzar a ejercitarla es reconociendo los errores con los que vivimos
actualmente día a día.
Mientras tanto
Dios nos espera.
Oración:
Buen Dios, concédenos sabiduría y humildad para volvernos de nuestro
pecado, aceptando tu piedad y tu mirada misericordiosa. Amén.
