FAITH

LUKE 6:17-19

and the people all tried to touch him,

because power was coming from him and healing them all.

Faith is like the hand that touches the unseen, which trusts in what is hoped for, and makes it possible to show God’s power.

A person without faith is touching the void, groping in the deepest darkness, without hope.

Faith is necessary throughout life, especially to have recourse to the divine promises at bitter moments, in the difficult tests in which human beings or material goods are ineffective; only faith in a living God can provide the strength, consolation, and the peace that surpasses understanding.

With the same eagerness described in the text, let us try to touch God, through our genuine encounter with him in prayer, song, and sincere adoration. And may we have faith that he will respond to our needs with the magnitude of his grace.

Faith is the hand that opens the windows of heaven and showers on the believer all the things the Lord wants to give him or her. Let us say as the disciples did: Lord, increase our faith.

Prayer:  O God, today I beseech you to help me to trust more in the gifts and talents you have given me. May I draw nearer to your presence every day and recognize that only your touch will heal my heart and allow me to walk safely on your paths. Amen.

LA FE

LUCAS 6:17-19

Y toda la gente procuraba tocarle, porque

poder salía de él y sanaba a todos

Lucas 6:19

La fe es como la mano que toca lo invisible, que se afianza en lo que se anhela, y que permite la manifestación del poder de Dios.

La persona sin fe está tocando en el vacío, anda en la oscuridad más profunda, sin esperanzas.

La fe es necesaria para todo en la vida, pero de una manera especial, para asirse a las promesas divinas en los momentos amargos, en las difíciles pruebas en las que el ser humano o los bienes materiales resultan cosas ineficaces; sólo la fe en un Dios vivo es lo que puede dar fortaleza, consuelo y esa paz que sobrepuja a todo entendimiento.

Con ese mismo anhelo que describe el texto, tratemos de tocar a Dios, a través de nuestro encuentro genuino con él, en la oración, en el canto en adoración sincera. Y tengamos fe de que él responderá a nuestras necesidades con la magnitud de su gracia.

La fe es la mano que abre las ventanas del cielo y hace descender sobre el creyente las cosas que el Señor ansía darle. Digamos como los discípulos: Señor, auméntanos la fe.

Oración: Mi buen Dios, en este día te quiero pedir que me ayudes más a confiar en los dones y talentos que me distes. Permite que cada día yo pueda acercarme a tu presencia y reconocer que sólo un toque tuyo sanará mi corazón y me permitirá caminar seguro en tus sendas. Amén.
