A good friend helps you to grow in wisdom

Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.

A good friend loves you as you are and not for who you are

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.

A good friend stays close to you.

One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,

Un amigo deseable te ayuda a crecer en sabiduría

El que con sabios anda, sabio se vuelve; el que con necios se junta, saldrá mal parado.

Un amigo te querrá en todo momento: te ha nacido un hermano en previsión de días malos.

Algunas amistades se rompen fácilmente, 

pero hay amigos más fieles que un hermano.

Un amigo deseable te dice la verdad en amor

Más confiable es el amigo que hiere que el enemigo que besa.

Un amigo deseable da buenos consejos

El perfume y el incienso alegran el corazón;

la dulzura de la amistad fortalece el ánimo.
