WE WENT THROUGH FIRE AND WATER
PSALM 66
…We went through fire and water,
but you brought us to a place of abundance.
Psalm
66:12 (NIV)
There are
storms in our lives, and some of them come up rapidly: a displeasure, an
affliction, a defeat. Others come up gradually, they appear small and
insignificant initially; but then they can be overwhelming.
We know
that in many storms God makes us strong like the oak. When a storm lashes an
oak with rain and strong wind, it becomes more robust and resistant. We have
lived through hurricanes, the wind and rain have lashed us, but in the midst of
it all we have our God who gives us strength, love, understanding and the
desire to be better wherever we may be.
Prayer: Thank you God for the
strength you give us in storms. Help us, Lord, to come out of the crisis with
strengthened faith, comforted and protected by your life-giving grace. In
Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

ENTRAMOS
EN FUEGO Y AGUA
SALMO 66
…Pasamos por el fuego y por el agua,
y nos sacaste en abundancia
Salmo 66:12
En nuestras vidas ocurren tempestades, algunas de ellas surgen rápidamente:
un disgusto, una aflicción, una derrota. Otras vienen poco a poco, son de
pequeño tamaño, parecen insignificantes; sin embargo, la opresión se hace
sentir y nos abrumamos con facilidad.
Sabemos que en muchas tempestades Dios nos hace más fuertes como al roble.
En medio de la tormenta cuando el roble es castigado por la lluvia y el fuerte
viento, se vuelve más robusto y resistente.
Hemos vivido en medio de tormentas, nos ha azotado el viento y la lluvia; pero en medio de todo tenemos a nuestro Dios que nos da fortaleza, amor, comprensión y el deseo de ser mejores dondequiera que nos encontremos.

Oración: Gracias Dios, por la fortaleza que nos das en medio de
las tormentas. Ayúdanos Señor, a salir de la crisis con una fe fortalecida al
sabernos confortados y protegidos por tu gracia vivificadora. En el nombre de Jesús oramos. Amén.
