SUPER VICTORS
ROMANS
8: 28-39
And this is the victory that has defeated the
world: our faith.
1 John 5: 4b (CEB)
Before JUPRECU existed, we young people in that time did not have a
magazine, but a mimeographed brochure, which was difficult to edit or
print. It will be very difficult to find
any printed issue of that “magazine” in some corner today. What I want to point out is its title: Super Victors. It was a kind of challenge for the young
people, at once a call to become aware of what our faith meant. Even if that magazine went out of print, I
believe that its goal is maintained not only for youth, but as a challenge for the
entire church.
God calls us to live with all the trust that the victory is ours. You may ask yourself: and with so many problems that I have before
me, what security is there in victory? The
response brings us full confidence, if Christ defeated death, together with him
we will be given the victory over all things.
Prayer: God of generations, how good it is to live
with the security of the victory. Make
me live this faith today. Amen.

Y ésta es la victoria que ha
vencido al mundo: nuestra fe.
1 Juan 5: 4b
Antes de que existiera JUPRECU, los jóvenes de
aquella época, teníamos no una revista, sino más bien un folleto mimeografiado;
que por cierto era bastante difícil su redacción e impresión. Será muy difícil
encontrar algún número de aquella ‟revista” por algún rincón. Lo que quiero
significar era su título: Supervencedores.
Era una especie de reto para los jóvenes, a la vez de un llamado a tomar
consciencia de lo que significaba nuestra fe. Si bien aquella revista dejó de
existir, creo que su meta se mantiene no sólo para los jóvenes, sino que es un
reto para toda la iglesia.
Dios nos llama a vivir con toda la confianza de
que la victoria es nuestra. A lo mejor pudieras preguntarte, ¿y con tantos
problemas como los que tengo por delante, qué seguridad hay en la victoria? La
respuesta nos llega plena de confianza, si Cristo venció a la muerte, junto con
ello nos dará también la victoria sobre todas las cosas.
Oración: Dios de generaciones, que bueno es vivir con la seguridad de la
victoria. Hazme vivir hoy esta fe. Amén.
