WALKING WITH GOD
GENESIS 5:18-24
If we live by the
Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.
Galatians 5:25 (NRSV)
Customarily,
I walk several days a week and the route I follow is always the same.
Exercise is
beneficial physically, however the spiritual exercise of our walk with God
yields a greater benefit. It is essential that we consider the pace of the
journey of our faith.
Enoch knew
the importance of his walk with God and of living that relationship with God
every day. As a result, Enoch reached the destiny God had laid out for him.
In like
manner, we can listen to God and respond to the way God leads us. If, on our
journey, we stray from God, we are likely to lose our way. And if we become
impatient, we can act impulsively before God shows us the way.
Nevertheless,
if, like Enoch, we live with God every day, we will understand what is his
purpose for our lives.
Prayer: Holy God, help us to walk with you every day. I ask you to
teach me to perceive your purpose for my life. Amen.

CAMINANDO CON DIOS
GENESIS 5:18-24
Si vivimos por el Espíritu, andemos también por el Espíritu
Gálatas 5:25
Camino de costumbre varios días a la semana y la ruta que
sigo es siempre la misma.
El ejercicio nos beneficia físicamente, sin embargo, el ejercicio
espiritual de nuestro caminar con Dios nos brinda mayor beneficio. Es
indispensable que consideremos el ritmo del paso de nuestra fe.
Enoc reconoció la importancia de su caminar con Dios y de
vivir esa relación con Él cada día. Como resultado, Enoc llegó al destino que
Dios le había deparado.
En forma semejante podemos escuchar a Dios y responder a
la manera en que Él nos guía. Si al caminar nos alejamos de Él, es probable que
perdamos el camino. Y si nos impacientamos, podremos actuar impulsivamente
antes de que Él nos lo revele.
Sin embargo, si como Enoc vivimos con Dios cada día,
comprenderemos cuál es su propósito para nuestras vidas.
Oración: Dios Santo, ayúdanos a caminar contigo cada día. Te pido
me enseñes a discernir tu propósito en mi vida. Amén.
