HE FORGAVE
EVERYTHING
1 John 2: 1-6
. .
. and he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins,
and
not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 John 2:2 (NRSV)
What peace and tranquility is given
us knowing that we are forgiven without depending on any effort of our own!
Jesus is the one who sacrificed himself for us. Coming into this world, he did
so as a servant, not as a king, with all its consequences, even giving his life
for us.
It makes no difference where we come
from nor who we are; we are all absolutely forgiven by pure grace.
That gives us the needed confidence
to follow Jesus and to live according to his teachings. A life resting in God and
work in accordance with his Word is a gospel for others.
That way our life will be brighter
and we will be able to forgive ourselves as well. Let's give ourselves up
entirely into his hands, knowing ourselves protected and defended by Him.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for forgiving us. Thank you for the security
of knowing that we are protected and defended by you. Give us the needed
strength to stay by your side and respond to your grace, working with faith and
love. Amen.

PERDONÓ TODO
1 Juan 2: 1-6
Jesucristo se ofreció en sacrificio para
que nuestros pecados sean perdonados
y no sólo los nuestros, sino los de todo
el mundo.
1 Juan 2:2
¡Qué
paz y tranquilidad nos da el sabernos perdonados sin depender de ningún
esfuerzo por nuestra parte! Es Jesús el que se sacrifica por nosotros. Al venir
a este mundo lo hace como siervo y no como rey, con todas sus consecuencias,
hasta entregar su vida por nosotros.
No
importa de dónde venimos, ni quiénes somos, todos somos perdonados
absolutamente por pura gracia.
Esto
nos debe dar la confianza necesaria para seguir a Jesús y vivir según sus
enseñanzas. Una vida que descansa en Dios y obra acorde con su Palabra, es un
evangelio para otros.
De
esa manera nuestra vida será más luminosa y seremos capaces de perdonar
nosotros también. Entreguémonos por entero en sus manos, sabiéndonos protegidos
y defendidos por Él.
Oración: Gracias por perdonarnos
Señor. Gracias por la seguridad de saber que estamos protegidos y defendidos
por ti. Danos la fortaleza necesaria para permanecer a tu lado y responder a tu
gracia, obrando con fe y amor. Amén.
