REJOICE, GIVE
THANKS AND SING

THESSALONIANS 5:12-24
Rejoice always.
Pray continually. Give thanks in every situation…
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18a (CEB)
An old
legend says that two angels were sent to the earth to collect the prayers of
the humans. The first returned burdened
with complaints and petitions. The
second only could collect a few expressions of recognition and gratitude.
This
reveals a very marked tendency. People
are more likely to complain than to rejoice and give thanks.
There are
many reasons for which to always be joyful and praising God, since God has
poured out over us ineffably abundant blessings. We have attributed to God our gratitude for
everything beautiful, good and lasting. We
must praise God for light and for wind through the eyes that contemplate the
invisible and the ears that hear celestial harmonies. Especially we must be joyful and give thanks
for the great gift of his love, expressed in the incarnation of Jesus Christ,
our Redeemer.
Prayer: Lord, allow our daily actions to
be a hymn of praise to you. Amen.

REGOCIJAOS, DAD GRACIAS Y CANTAD

gozosos. Orad sin cesar. Dad gracias en todo...

Una antigua leyenda dice que dos ángeles fueron enviados
a la tierra para recoger las oraciones de los humanos. El primero regresó cargado
de quejas y peticiones. El segundo sólo pudo recoger unas escasas expresiones
de reconocimiento y gratitud.
Esto revela una tendencia muy marcada. La gente está más
dispuesta a quejarse que a regocijarse y dar gracias.
Sobran motivos por los cuales estar siempre gozosos y
alabar a Dios, puesto que Dios derrama sobre nosotros inefables bendiciones
abundantes. Hemos de tributarle nuestra gratitud por todo lo bello, lo bueno,
lo perdurable. Hemos de alabarle por la luz y por el viento por ojos que contemplan lo invisible y oídos
que perciben armonías celestiales. Sobre todo, hemos de estar gozosos y dar
gracias por el don supremo de su amor, expresado en la encarnación de
Jesucristo, nuestro Redentor.
Oración: Señor, permite que nuestras acciones diarias
sean un himno de alabanza a ti. Amén.
