IN THE SAME SPIRIT
PHILLIPIANS 1:27-30
…so
that you stand firm; united in one spirit and mind as you struggle together to
remain faithful to the gospel.
Philippians: 27 (CEB)
Reunion is the concurrence of various individuals in the
same place. But union or unity has to do more with equality of purpose and will
rapprochement. In the church and their regular hours of worship or Bible
studies, members of the local church must meet; but either together or separate
physically speaking, we always ought to remain united in the same spirit.
Divisions within a congregation are not the work of God.
There is no valid reason for parties to exist within the church of the Lord.
There are many reasons to remain united in the same spirit. It is not that we
all must think alike, but even when we have different opinions on diverse
subjects, unity in the spirit should be conserved and the bonds of Christian friendship
not broken.
The evil one tries to divide us, but
the Holy Spirit brings us close so that we are united.
Prayer: Lord,
we ask you today to help us so that like your people we follow you united in
spirit and purpose. Amen.

EN UN
MISMO ESPIRITU
FILIPENSES 1:27-30
para que o sea que vaya a veros, o que
esté ausente, oiga de vosotros que estáis firmes en un mismo espíritu,
combatiendo unánimes por la fe del
evangelio.

Reunión
es la concurrencia de varios individuos en un mismo sitio. Pero unión o unidad
tiene que ver más con igualdad de propósito y acercamiento de voluntad. En el
templo y a sus horas regulares de cultos o estudios bíblicos, los miembros de
la iglesia local debemos reunirnos; pero sea juntos o separados físicamente
hablando, siempre debemos permanecer unidos en un mismo espííritu.
Las
divisiones dentro de una congregación no son obra de Dios. No hay razón válida
para que existan partidos en la Iglesia del Señor. Hay muchas razones para que
permanezcamos unidos en un mismo espíritu. No es que todos pensemos siempre igual, sino que aun
cuando sobre asuntos diversos tengamos diferentes opiniones, la unidad en el
espíritu debe conservarse y los vínculos de la amistad cristiana no deben
romperse.
El
maligno trata de dividirnos, pero el Espíritu Santo nos acerca para que estemos
unidos.
Oración: Señor, te pedimos hoy
que nos ayudes para que como pueblo tuyo sigamos unidos en espíritu y
propósito. Amén.
