THE HOUR OF CLEANING

MATTHEW 5:8

Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts.

Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy upon them… (NIV) 

Isaiah 55:7

           

To conserve the cleanliness of our spiritual life isn’t something we can easily do, and if we only trust in our own strength it’s more complicated. We make the decision to abandon bad habits, and in a few days we trip on the same stone. To keep our minds and hearts free of evil thoughts and feelings isn’t simply a matter of self-discipline. The first thing we should recognize is that we can’t do it alone. All that we’ve acquired over time: habits, customs and foibles aren’t something our strengths can overturn.  

The big question is: what do I do to cleanse my life?  God says this is only possible through Jesus and his blood. Only he can cleanse and repair us. We’ll never achieve it on our own. Don’t struggle any more!

Prayer: My good Jesus, on this day I ask you to take my sins and make them into actions pleasing to you. Don’t allow me, Lord, to stumble so many times. Give me your help at all times. Amen.

HORA DE LA LIMPIEZA

MATEO 5:8

Deje el impío su camino, y el hombre inicuo sus pensamientos, y vuélvase a Jehováá, el cual tendrá de él misericordia…

Isaías 55:7

            Conservar la limpieza de  nuestra vida espiritual no es algo que podamos hacer con facilidad; y si confiamos en nuestras propias fuerzas solamente, es más complicado. Tomamos la decisión de abandonar las malas costumbres y a los pocos días caemos con la misma piedra. Mantener libre nuestra mente y corazóón de malos pensamientos y sentimientos no es simplemente algo de autodisciplina.

            Lo primero que debemos reconocer es que nosotros no podemos solos. Todo aquello que hemos adquirido  durante tanto tiempo: hábitos, costumbres, mañas, no es algo que nuestras fuerzas puedan derribar.

            La gran pregunta es: ¿cómo hago para limpiar mi vida? Dios dice que esto sólo es posible a través de Jesús y de su sangre. Solo Él puede limpiarnos y repararnos. Con nuestras propias fuerzas nunca lo lograremos. ¡No luchemos más!

Oración: Mi buen Jesús, en este día te pido que tomes mis pecados y los conviertas en acciones que te agraden. No permitas, Señor, que tropiece tantas veces. Dame tu ayuda en todo momento. Amén.
