THE KEY TO SUCCESS

PHILIPPIANS  3:1-17

Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do.  (NIV)

Philippians 3:17

In the verses chosen “there’s a lot of cloth to cut,” as the popular phrase says. In 1989 Stephan Covey wrote a book entitled The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, a huge success with twenty-five million copies sold in fifty two languages. It’s not a theological book; rather it makes a registry of the behavior that makes for great effectiveness. The first step to take is to have and to follow a paradigm; if it doesn’t work, the second is for an incorruptible one.

Paul follows in Christ’s footsteps; that is to say, a paradigm that leads to success. It’s quite easy to notice the failures, they’re due to following false and corrupt paradigms. It’s remarkable that following human and transparent service patterns accompanies us to individual, collective, and testimonial success. Our history in our churches is full of personalities anchored in high human ethical and moral principles that remain for eternity.

Let’s be imitators of constructive ideas and actions in which love prevails as an architecture of what we propose to do, especially for the benefit of others.

Prayer: our Father, thank you for the many paradigms inspired by your Son you’ve given us. Help us to always follow, in prayer and action, your plans for our lives. In your name. Amen.

LA CLAVE DEL ÉXITO

Filipenses 3:1-17
