URGENTLY

Ecclesiastes 5:10-20

As they came from their mother’s womb, so they shall go again, naked as they came; they shall take nothing for their toil, which they may carry away with their hands.

Ecclesiastes 5:15 (NRSV)

            Urgent is a word we live with daily in our agitated lives and which has already lost a sense of haste or priority. Urgency is already a rhythm of life . . . a way of “spending” life that is the poorest way to live on this world because we leave pending the things that were truly urgent.

            Urgent… does that make you stop in your busy life and ask yourself: what does all this that I do mean?

            Urgent . . . that we may be more human . . . more brotherly!

            Urgent . . . that we may know how to value the time that a child asks of us.

            Urgent . . . that one morning you rise early and see the sunrise, feeling its warmth and giving thanks to God for such a great gift.

            Urgent . . . that you feel alive in body and spirit! . . . that you see your arms, legs, body, intelligence, and truly vibrate with life!

            Urgent . . . that you take a moment in your work, go out and breathe deeply and feel the air filling your lungs . . . and you are alive!

            Urgent . . . that you tell people that you love them, how much you love them today, and don’t wait until tomorrow.

            Urgent . . . is that life doesn’t go away in a breath and that when you old you may regret not being able to turn back the clock.

 

Prayer: Lord, thank you for many blessings that you give us every day because we could not live without them. Thank you for your eternal accompaniment and for your love. Amen.

CON URGENCIA

Eclesiastés 5:10-20

Como salió del vientre de su madre, desnudo, así vuelve, yéndose como vino; y nada tiene  de su trabajo para llevar en la mano

Eclesiastés 5:15

            Urgente es una palabra con la que vivimos día a día en nuestra agitada vida y a la cual le hemos perdido ya todo significado de premura y prioridad. Urgente es ya un ritmo de vida... una forma de “pasar” la vida que es la más pobre de vivir sobre este mundo porque dejamos pendientes las cosas que verdaderamente fueron urgentes.

            Urgente… es que hagas un alto en tu ajetreada vida y te preguntes: ¿qué significado tiene todo esto que hago?

            Urgente… es que seamos más humanos... ¡más hermanos!

            Urgente… es que sepamos valorar el tiempo que nos pide un niño.

            Urgente… es que una mañana, te levantes temprano y veas salir el sol, sientas su calor y des gracias a Dios por tan grande regalo.

            Urgente… es que te sientas vivo ¡en cuerpo y alma!... que veas tus brazos, tus piernas, tu cuerpo, tu inteligencia, y de verdad ¡vibres con la vida!

            Urgente… es que te tomes un instante en tu trabajo, salgas y respires profundo, y sientas cómo el aire llena tus pulmones y... ¡estás vivo!

            Urgente… es que le digas a la gente que la quieres, cuánto la amas hoy, y no esperes hasta mañana.

            Urgente… es que no se te vaya la vida en un soplo y que, cuando seas un anciano, lamentes no poder regresar el tiempo...

 

Oración: Gracias Señor, por tus múltiples bendiciones que nos das a diario pues sin ellas no podríamos vivir. Gracias por tu eterna compañía, y por tu amor. Amén.
