JESUS’ HARD WORDS (II)

Matthew 10: 7-15

As you go, proclaim this message: “The Kingdom of heaven has come near. (NIV)

Matthew 10:7

Accepting responsibility as Christians in sharing the gospel leads us to a question: are we willing to step out of our comfort zone?

Jesus instructs and challenges us to be courageous. Along with his instructions that he gives to his disciples, there are some warnings, and also the certainty that God will protect them at all times.

You should not worry about your livelihood while you are preaching. This reminds us that God will provide what is necessary if we trust him and follow his will. He instructs them about the possibility that someone doesn’t want to hear his message, in which case they should move on. This reminds us that our responsibility is to share the message, but we cannot force anyone to accept it.

Announcing the message, “the Kingdom of God is near,” also implies being agents of change in our communities and in the world.

 

Prayer: Lord, allow our hearts to always be open to your will, and above all that we can be preserved beforehand and courageous in the path of faith and not be discouraged by difficulties. Amen.

Las palabras duras de Jesús (II)

Mateo 10: 7-15

…anuncien este mensaje: “Ya está por llegar el reino deDios”.

Aceptar la responsabilidad como cristianos en compartir el evangelio nos lleva a una pregunta ¿Estamos dispuestos asalir de nuestra zona de confort?

Jesús instruye y desafía en ser valientes. Junto a lasinstrucciones que les da a sus discípulos, se encuentranalgunas advertencias y también la certeza de que Dios entodo momento los protegerá.

No deben preocuparse por su sustento mientras estánpredicando. Esto nos recuerda que Dios proveerá lo necesario si confiamos en Él y seguimos su voluntad. Lesinstruye acerca de la posibilidad de que alguien no quieraescuchar su mensaje, en este caso deben seguir adelante.Esto nos recuerda que nuestra responsabilidad escompartir el mensaje, pero no podemos forzar a nadie a aceptarlo.

Anunciar el mensaje el Reino de Dios está cerca, implicatambién ser agentes de cambio en nuestras comunidades y en el mundo.

 

Oración: Señor, permite que nuestro corazón esté siempreabierto a tu voluntad, y sobre todo que podamos serperseverantes y valientes en el camino de la fe y no nosdesanimemos ante las dificultades. Amén.
