A CRY OF ANGUISH AND A SONG OF PRAISE

Psalm 22: 1-6

My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?..

Psalm 22:1 NIV

Today the press and the television stations of the world show in images and on the front page the arrogance, the barbarism, the hatred and  impotence of the human being.

Lord, do not forsake your children who cry out for your security and your justice. Give glory to those who do not know your power and your glory, to the haters; fill their hearts with love for their neighbor. Teach them to love the human being, to care for one another. Teach peace with love to those who do not know how to live, how to love one another without borders or creeds, without arrogance. Teach them how to live in communion with one another, help us Lord to overcome so much hatred, to look with pity into the eyes of mothers and children orphaned by unjust wars.  Help us to multiply in prayer for the peace of the world

 

Prayer: Lord, hear our prayers and bring comfort to your daughters and sons, you who dwell among the praises of Israel. Let peace be saved and life preserved in the midst of this chaos. We will continue to pray for peace in your name and that of all the men and women of the world. Amen.

UN GRITO DE ANGUSTIA Y UN CANTO DE ALABANZA.

Salmos 22: 1-6

...Dios mío, Dios mío. ¿Por qué me has desamparado?...

Salmos 22: 1

Hoy la prensa y las televisoras del mundo muestran en imagen y primera plana la prepotencia, la barbarie, la impotencia del ser humano, el odio.

Señor, no desampares a tus hijos que claman tu seguridad y tu justicia, llégale a los que desconocen tu poder y tu gloria, a los odiadores, inúndales el corazón de amor al prójimo, enséñales a amar al ser humano, a cuidarnos los unos a los otras, enséñales a los que no saben cómo se vive la paz con amor, cómo es amarnos sin fronteras ni credos, ni arrogancia. Enséñales cómo se vive en comunión, unos con otras, ayúdanos Señor a superar tanto odio, a mirar con piedad a los ojos de las madres y niños huérfanos por guerras injustas, ayúdanos a multiplicarnos en oración por la paz del mundo.

 

Oración: Señor, escucha nuestros ruegos y lleva el consuelo a tus hijas e hijos, tú que habitas entre las alabanzas de Israel. Permite que en medio de este caos se salve la paz y se preserve la vida. Nosotros seguiremos orando por la paz en tu nombre y el de todos los hombres y mujeres del mundo. Amén.
