KNOW GOD IN YOUR CRISES

Matthew 8:23-27

And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, you of little faith?”

Matthew 8:26a (NRSV)

            The storm is the best time to discover the reality of God; to discover that God is present there to protect you from the strong winds that strike the boat of your life; to discover that God is there to hear your cry and provide you aid; to discover that God is there to calm the tempest immediately if you only put your faith in God.

            In the same way he cries out just as his disciples cried out in the midst of that great storm. The storm will pass, and I assure you that you will not remain the same if you only trust in God.

            Certainly the major difficulty consists in confronting the strong winds and waves. In those circumstances the reality often overwhelms us and prevents faith from being implanted in our hearts.  But let’s remember that God’s hand is always prepared for rescue. Let’s not be afraid in the midst to adversities; let’s trust and wait to see the great things that God will do.

 

Prayer: My good Lord Jesus, help me to have enough faith in you to sleep even in the midst of the tempest. Amen.

CONOCE A DIOS EN TUS CRISIS

Mateo 8:23-27

Él les dijo: ¿Por qué teméis, hombres de poca fe?

Mateo 8:26a

            La tormenta es el mejor momento para descubrir la realidad de Dios, para descubrir que Él está allí presente para protegerte de los fuertes vientos que golpean la barca de tu vida, para descubrir que Él está allí para escuchar tu clamor y brindarte su ayuda, para descubrir que Él está allí para calmar la tempestad en el momento preciso si tan solo depositas tu confianza en Él.

            Así que clama tal como clamaron sus discípulos en medio de aquella gran tempestad. La tormenta pasará y te aseguro que no serás el mismo si tan solo confías en Él.

            Ciertamente la mayor dificultad estriba en enfrentar los fuertes vientos y las olas. En esas circunstancias muchas veces la realidad nos agobia y no permitimos que la fe implante esperanza en nuestros corazones. Pero recordemos que la mano de Dios siempre está lista para rescatar. No tengamos temor en medio de las adversidades, confiemos y esperemos para ver las grandes cosas que Dios hará.

 

Oración: Mi buen Señor Jesús, ayúdame a tener la suficiente confianza y fe en ti para descansar aun en medio de la tormenta. Amén.
