FAITHFUL FRIENDSHIP

Psalm 55:12-14

It is not enemies who taunt me – I could bear that…

            It is neither news nor a source of surprise that enemies insult and despise us.  But in the case of being despised by a friend, the pain is more intense.

            The friend is someone from whom we always expect support, someone who forgives our mistakes and is patient, understanding and faithful. So, betraying friendship is an attitude that wounds and marks the heart.

            Give it your support and be present. Take care of your friends. Be a good friend, be faithful. Do not run away or make fun of any friend in difficult hours. Give him or her your support and be present. Friendships are very important in all moments of our lives.

            And if a friend betrays you, follow the counsel of Psalm 55:22:

I advise you to put into God’s hands all that concerns you; he will give you his support! God never lets those who obey him fail! That’s why I always trust him!

 

Prayer: Oh God, we thank you for always being our most faithful friend always. Amen.

AMISTAD FIEL

Salmo 55:12-14

Si otro me hubiera insultado, lo podría soportar

Salmo 55:12

            No es novedad ni motivo de sorpresa que los enemigos nos insulten y nos desprecien.  Pero en el caso de ser despreciado por un amigo, el dolor es más  intenso.

            El amigo es alguien de quien esperamos apoyo en todo momento, alguien que  perdona nuestros errores y es paciente, comprensivo y fiel. Por lo tanto, traicionar la amistad es una actitud que hiere y marca el corazón.

            Cuide sus amistades. Sea un buen amigo, sea fiel. No huya ni se burle de ningún amigo en las horas difíciles. Dele su apoyo y esté presente. Las amistades son muy importantes en todos los momentos de nuestra vida.

            Y si un amigo lo traiciona, siga el consejo del Salmo 55:22: Te aconsejo que pongas en manos de Dios todo lo que te preocupa; ¡él te dará su apoyo! ¡Dios nunca deja fracasar a los que le obedecen! ¡Por eso siempre confío en él!

 

Oración: Oh Dios, te damos gracias por ser  nuestro amigo más fiel siempre. Amén.
