GOD IS MY SHEPHERD

Psalm  23

It is the Lord who goes before you.  He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.

Deuteronomy 31:8 (NRSV)

            I have a friend who gave her heart to God years ago. Since that time she has not stopped praying and asking God to help her grow spiritually, even though that is a gift from God.  With strength and perseverance God allows us to see fruit during our long transformation..

            The years have passed, her faith has grown, and our Lord Jesus Christ has changed her life in such a way that she feels the need to serve Christ in a special way.  But she is not so young anymore and she has a family, which makes full time service impossible.

            Only God knows the path to follow and the right moment for our call.  We should obey it and allow ourselves to be guided by God.  Remember what Moses said to Joshua: God goes in front of you, God is with you, God will not leave you or forsake you, do not be afraid, nor intimidated.

            God knows where we find ourselves in the wide spectrum of God’s work in this world, and God knows well where our service will be the most effective and needed.  Let us put all of our trust and hope in God, waiting with patience for God to do his will. 

 

Prayer: Beloved God, allow us to be brave and may we respond to any calls that you give us.  Amen.

JEHOVA ES MI PASTOR

Salmo  23

Y Jehová va delante de ti, él estará contigo, no te dejará, ni te desampararáá, no temas, ni te intimides..

Deuteronomio 31:8

            Tengo una amiga que desde hace varios años entregó su corazón a Dios. Durante todo este tiempo no ha dejado de orar y de pedirle por su crecimiento espiritual, que aunque es una dádiva de Dios, con nuestro esfuerzo y perseverancia nos permite ver frutos durante nuestra larga transformación.

            Han pasado los años, su fe ha crecido y nuestro Señor Jesucristo ha cambiado su vida de tal manera que siente la necesidad de servir a Cristo de forma especial. Pero ya no es tan joven y tiene una familia, por lo cual un servicio a tiempo completo no resulta posible.

            Solo Dios conoce el camino a seguir y el momento adecuado para nuestro llamado, solo debemos obedecerlo y dejarnos guiar por Él. Recordemos lo que Moisés le dijo a Josué:  Jehová va delante de ti, el estará contigo, no te dejará, ni te desamparará, no temas, ni te intimides.

            Dios conoce donde colocarnos en el amplio espectro de su obra en este mundo, y sabe bien donde nuestro servicio será más eficaz y necesario. Depositemos toda nuestra confianza y esperanza en Él, esperando con paciencia que se haga su voluntad.

 

Oración: Padre amado permite que seamos valientes y podamos responder a todo llamado que tú nos hagas. Amén.
