THE CALL OF GOD

Mark 1:16-20

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” (NIV)

Mark 1:17

            Jesus passed along the lake of Galilee in front of some fishermen who were in their boats; he called them and invited them to follow him. These people left their source of income, their stability, their means of survival to follow Jesus, at his call, at his proposal. Perhaps they had heard before of this man who had a unique vision, that of the Kingdom of God, so they followed him.

            Today, the new monetary order has increased state wages and prices, raising the cost of living, services and food. The entire Cuban church faces this new challenge. What will happen to our call today as sons and daughters of God? Will the solution be to change course, abandon the church? Never!

            As communities of believers, we need to continue thinking and rethinking the course ahead. Continue to reform and actively collaborate in the performance of the role we have as a church. The solution will not come as a single correct answer, it will be several, but we will find them. Let us be certain that God is in our midst, his Spirit is here, close by.

 

Prayer: Assist your church, God, to find the answers in unity and remaining joyful, and faithful to your call. Amen.

EL LLAMADO DE DIOS

Marcos 1:16-20

Jesús les dijo: Vengan conmigo, y les haré ser pescadores de hombres.

Marcos 1:17

            Jesús pasó bordeando el lago de Galilea por delante de unos pescadores que se encontraban en sus botes, les llamó y les invitó a seguirle. Estas personas dejaron su fuente de ingreso, su estabilidad, su modo de sobrevivir, la pesca que conocían, para seguir a Jesús, a su llamado, a su propuesta. Quizáás habían antes escuchado a este hombre que tenía una visión única, la del Reinado de Dios, y le siguieron.

            Hoy el nuevo ordenamiento monetario ha aumentado los salarios estatales y los precios, elevando el costo de vida, los servicios y alimentos. Toda La iglesia cubana, enfrenta este nuevo reto. ¿Qué pasará con nuestro llamado hoy como hijos e hijas de Dios? ¿Será la solución cambiar de camino, abandonar la Iglesia?  ¡No!

            Necesitamos como comunidad de creyentes seguir pensando y repensado el camino. Seguir reformando y colaborando activamente en el desempeño del papel que tenemos como iglesia. La solución no vendráá como una única respuesta correcta, serán varias, pero las encontraremos. Tengamos la certeza de que Dios está en medio nuestro, su Espíritu está aquí, cerca.

 

Oración: Ayuda Dios a tu Iglesia para encontrar las respuestas en unidad, permaneciendo alegres, fieles a tu llamado. Amén.
