OUR TESTIMONY

2 Thessalonians 2:13-17

But we must give thanks to God for you …because God chose you…

            Have you ever tried to witness to your friends, neighbors, and coworkers about God’s love? If you have, you know it’s not easy. When I share the gospel with others, I am disappointed when they reject God’s salvation.

            In our evangelical outreach we must  be encouraged knowing that above all, it is God’s work. We must be patient and trust fully in God. His will for our lives as Christians is clear: we must be a living testimony to the saving grace of Christ. We must share this hope with others witnessing through what we say and do. The Apostle Paul thanks God for choosing the believers in Thessalonica to be saved through faith and the sanctifying work of the Spirit.  It is likely that Paul started the church there preaching in a local synagogue but instead of taking credit for this, Paul simply thanks God.

            Many Christians share your concern about their unbelieving relatives and friends. They pray regularly that he or she  can know Jesus as their Savior;  and they can trust in the Lord bearing witness to His love and allowing the Spirit to use their testimonies for God’s purpose.

 

Prayer: Father, make us living witnesses of your saving love and mercy in Jesus Christ. Purify our imperfect testimony by the power of your Spirit so others can believe in You. Amen.

NUESTRO TESTIMONIO.

2da Tesalonicenses 2:13-17

Pero nosotros siempre tenemos que dar gracias a Dios por ustedes…… porque Dios los escogió

2 Ts. 2:13

            ¿Alguna vez has intentado testificar acerca del amor de Dios a tus amigos, vecinos y compañeros de trabajo? Si lo has hecho, sabes que no es fácil. Cuando comparto el evangelio con otros, me decepciono cuando rechazan la salvación de Dios.

            En nuestro alcance evangélico debemos alentarnos sabiendo que es, ante todo, la obra de Dios. Tenemos que ser pacientes y confiar plenamente en Dios. Su voluntad para nuestra vida como cristianos es clara: debemos ser un testimonio viviente de la gracia salvadora de Cristo. Y debemos compartir esta esperanza con otros, testificando a través de lo que decimos y hacemos. El Apóstol Pablo agradece a Dios por haber escogido a los creyentes de Tesalónica para ser salvados por medio de la fe y la obra santificadora del Espíritu. Es probable que Pablo haya comenzado la iglesia allí predicando en una sinagoga local. Pero en lugar de tomar crédito por eso, Pablo simplemente da gracias a Dios.

            Muchos cristianos comparten su preocupación por sus parientes y amigos incrédulos. Oran regularmente para que puedan conocer a Jesús como su Salvador y que confíen en el Señor, dano testimonio de su amor y permitiendo que el Espíritu use sus testimonios para el propósito de Dios.

 

 

Oración: Padre, haznos testigos vivientes de tu amor y misericordia salvadora en Jesucristo. Purifica nuestro testimonio imperfecto por el poder de tu Espíritu para que otros puedan creer en Ti. Amén.
