A HARD SCHOOL

Proverbs 8

I love those who love me; those who seek me will find me.

Prov. 8:17(CEB)

            It would be interesting if human beings would learn from the daily school we call life.  That is to say, it would be better to show more acts of kindness, to try to live in a harmonious manner with your family and your neighbor.  On the contrary, what we observe in this daily school that is called life is arming ourselves against other people, inventing security systems to protect ourselves, and also having eyes closed so that we look at the whole world with suspicion. 

            If one were to make a conclusion of what he sees around him, we would be able to say that he has not learned much in this daily school of life since it seems to be that many of the results are negative. 

            There is a thousand-year-old book that says who the human being is, where he goes and what he has to do in life.  Through this, it explains how humans are to live it out every day.  There was a man in antiquity who asked God to give him wisdom to learn how to count his days.  However, we have to recognize that there are very few people today who have an attitude like this toward life, and otherwise, an attitude like this is a privilege given by God. 

 

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your gifts that you fill our life with every day.  We recognize that we need more wisdom to reach a place where we better get to know you and serve you.  Lord, help us in this task.  Amen.

UNA ESCUELA DIFÍCIL

Proverbios 8

Pr. 8:17

            Sería interesante que el ser humano aprendiera de la escuela diaria que llamamos vida. Es decir, que fuera mejor, que mostrara más actos de bondad, que tratara de convivir de una manera armoniosa con los suyos y con su prójimo. Por el contrario, lo que observamos en esta escuela diaria que se llama vida es un armarse a sí mismo aún en contra de otras personas, inventar sistemas de seguridad para protegerse, ademá s de todos los cerrojos existentes, y mirar a todo el mundo con suspicacia, con sospecha.

            Si uno tuviera que sacar una conclusión de lo que se ve alrededor, podríamos decir que no se ha aprendido mucho en esta escuela diaria de la vida, ya que pareciera ser que demasiados resultados son negativos.

            Existe un libro milenario, antiguo, que le dice al ser humano quien es, donde va y que es lo que tiene que hacer en la vida. Además, le explica cómo tiene que vivirla todos los días. Hubo un hombre en la antigüedad que le pidió a Dios que le diera sabiduría para aprender a contar sus días. Sin embargo, tenemos que reconocerlo, son muy pocas las personas hoy día que tienen una actitud así ante la vida y no solo eso, sino una actitud así ante ese privilegio que Dios les ha dado.

 

Oración: Señor, gracias por tus dones con los que llenas nuestra vida todos los días. Reconocemos que necesitamos de más sabiduría para llegar a conocerte y servirte. Ayúdanos, Señor, en este empeño. Amén.
