OUR DEFENDER IS ALIVE AND ACTING

Job 42:2

For I  know that my redeemer lives, and that at the last he will stand upon the earth;

Job 19:25 (NRSV)

            This is a great statement, especially for having come from the lips of a man who suffered, beset by repeated tragedies and who lost everything without any explanation from the God he loved so much.

            Job rested and his soul was comforted because he understood that, despite the problems and sufferings of this life, there is a sovereign and just vindicator. He is the certainty of the promise that there will be restitution. We can rest in the certainty that nothing escapes God, especially when it comes to controlling the smallest details. He weaves through good and bad moments so that in the end, they become a good for our lives.

            It is often impossible for us to explain the riddles and sufferings we go through. And we should not try to do that. However, amid  suffering, we can affirm that there is a living Redeemer, sovereign, and vindicator of the just. He will rise above the earth on the day of restitution to honor those he loves.

            All those who see their plans thwarted today will in the future sincerely declare what Job said in today’s bible text.

 

Prayer: Thank you Father God for your comfort amid the difficulties of our daily lives. Thank you for the example of Job. Thank you for your presence in our lives. Amen .

NUESTRO DEFENSOR ESTA VIVO Y ACTUA

Job 42:2

Yo sé que mi Dios vive, sé que triunfará sobre la muerte, y me declarará inocente

Job 19:25

            Esta es una gran declaración, especialmente por haber salido de los labios de un hombre sufrido, hostigado por reiteradas tragedias y que lo perdió todo sin ninguna explicación por parte del Dios que tanto amaba.

            Job descansó y su alma se reconfortó porque entendió que, a pesar de los problemas y los sufrimientos de esta vida, hay un reivindicador soberano y justo. Él es la certeza de la promesa de que habrá restitución. Podemos descansar en la certeza de que a Dios nada se le escapa, principalmente cuando se trata de controlar los mínimos detalles y entretejerlo entre buenos y malos momentos para que al final, devengan en un bien para nuestra vida.

            Frecuentemente no nos es posible explicar los enigmas y los sufrimientos por los cuales pasamos. Y por cierto, no debemos intentar hacerlo. Sin embargo, en medio del sufrimiento, podemos afirmar que hay un Redentor vivo, soberano y reivindicador de los justos. Él se levantará sobre la tierra en el día de la restitución, para honrar a aquellos que ama.

            Todos los que hoy ven frustrarse sus planes, declararáán sinceramente en el futuro lo mismo que afirmó Job en el texto bííblico de hoy.

 

Oración:  Gracias Padre Dios por tu consuelo en medio de las dificultades de nuestra vida cotidiana. Gracias por el ejemplo de Job. Gracias por tu presencia en nuestras vidas. Amén.
