GOD’S JUSTICE

Isaiah 33

The Lord is our judge; the Lord is our leader; the Lord is our king--he will deliver us.

Isaiah 33:22 (CEB)

            When we suffer harm we want the person who attacked us physically or emotionally to pay for his or her wrong.  We are so hurt that we want to take justice into our own hands.  We act wrongly, spurred on by anger, and if we don’t see that the one who attacked us is suffering for his or her evil acts, we get disappointed and we believe that there is no justice on earth.

            Justice is when everyone receives his own, being sure that God will give you yours:  consolation, love, peace and health. It is better to pay more attention to receiving that which God wants to give us than that which some person can offer us.  God has a time to act and God’s time will not be the same as our time.  Maybe you can’t witness what will happen with those who harmed you. Your part in this is to forgive and to leave it in the hands of God. God will act conforming to his perfect will. 

            Remember that God’s justice will not be given in the form that you want it, or in the time that you want it.  Only God is just and knows how to give to each one that which is his or hers. 

            Don’t waste time trying to satisfy your justice. Forgive and may God be the one who gives the verdict.

 

Prayer: Lord, do not let us be prisoners of anger and resentment.  May we leave everything in your hands and in your time.  Amen.

LA JUSTICIA DE DIOS

Isaias 33

El Señor es nuestro juez, nuestro legislador y nuestro Rey; él cuidará de nosotros y nos salvará

Isaías 33:22

            Cuando sufrimos algún daño queremos que la persona que nos agredió física o emocionalmente pague por su error. Estamos tan heridos que deseamos tomar la justicia por nuestra propia mano. Actuamos erróneamente impulsados por la ira, y si no vemos que quien nos agredió está padeciendo por sus malos actos, nos desilusionamos y creemos que no existe justicia en la tierra.

            Justicia es que cada quien reciba lo suyo, ten por seguro que Dios te dará lo tuyo: consolación, amor, paz y sanidad. Es mejor preocuparnos más en recibir lo que Dios nos quiere dar que lo que alguna persona pueda ofrecernos. Dios tiene un tiempo para actuar y su tiempo no será el mismo  que el nuestro. Quizás no puedas presenciar lo que sucederá con aquellos que te lastimaron. Tu parte en ello es perdonar y dejarlo en manos de Dios. Él actuará conforme a su perfecta voluntad.

            Recuerda que la justicia de Dios no se dará de la forma en que tú deseas, o en  el tiempo que esperas. Sólo Él es justo y sabe cómo dar a cada quien lo suyo.

            No pierdas el tiempo tratando de cumplir tu justicia. Perdona y que sea Dios quien dé el veredicto.

 

Oración: Señor, no nos dejes ser presos de la ira y el resentimiento. Que podamos dejarlo todo en tus manos y en tu tiempo. Amén.
