DAILY RENEWAL

2 Corinthians 4:8-18

Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  (NIV)

2 Corinthians 4:16

            Madame Guyon, a French mystic who was considered heretical by the Catholic Church, was incarcerated after writing various Christian works. This woman expressed, “The fire of suffering makes the gold of consecration shine.”

            The Apostle Paul declares that the earthly sufferings we live through aren’t going to compare to the enormous and eternal glory of the future life. The tribulations or problems that the Apostle physically and emotionally faced helped him. 

             The pressure to which this man of God was subjected afflicted his physical being. This reality isn’t foreign to ours, because no one is immune to pain, no one can escape suffering, and no one manages to glide through life smoothly. Life is a series of conflicts; once we’re able to fix one, there’s another at the door to replace it.

            Perhaps not all of our problems are great, but they’re all significant in the process of growing our faith. Our future glory with Christ will empower us to endure any problem; the nature of the  problem we confront doesn’t matter if Christ has a reward on store for us. There’s nothing to fear if God’s love always embraces us and comforts us. The circumstances we experience allow us to develop our Christian character.   

 

Prayer: Lord, help us each day amidst our problems. Allow us to renew our faith. Amen.

RENOVACION COTIDIANA

2da Corintios 4:8-18

Por eso no desfallecemos. Aun cuando nuestro hombre exterior se va desmoronando, el hombre interior se va renovando de día en día.

2 Co. 4;16

            Madame Guyon (Mística Francesa) quien fuera considerada hereje por la Iglesia Católica, fue encarcelada después de escribir varias obras cristianas. Esta mujer expresó: “El fuego del sufrimiento hace relucir el oro de la consagración”

            El Apóstol Pablo declara que los sufrimientos terrenales que vivimos no se van a comparar con la gloria enorme y eterna de la vida futura. Las tribulaciones o problemas que el Apóstol enfrentó colaboraron en él, física y anímicamente.

            La presión a la que este hombre de Dios fue sujeto afligieron su estructura física. Dicha realidad no es ajena a la nuestra, porque nadie es inmune al dolor, nadie puede evitar el sufrimiento y nadie consigue deslizarse a través de la vida sin problemas. La vida es una serie de conflictos; una vez que logramos solucionar uno, hay otro a la puerta para ocupar su lugar. Quizás no todos nuestros problemas sean grandes, pero todos son significativos en el proceso de crecimiento de nuestra fe. Nuestra futura gloria con Cristo nos dará poder para soportar cualquier problema. No importa la naturaleza del problema que enfrentemos; si Cristo tiene reservado un galardón para nosotros, si el amor de Dios nos abraza y nos consuela en todo tiempo, no hay nada que temer. Las circunstancias que atravesamos permiten desarrollar nuestro carácter cristiano.

Oración: Señor, ayúdanos cada día en medio de nuestros problemas. Permite que podamos renovar nuestra fe. Amén.
