                                                         Ready for the Encounter

                                                                Matthew 25: 1-13 

                                                       Blessed is he who perseveres.                    Daniel 12: 12                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

     “The bridegroom approaches, go out to meet him.” This command should resonate in our ears and hearts, it should put us into a state of alert and action. It’s a wake-up call so that we don’t remain asleep, so that we have sufficient light, with lamps filled with the oil of faith – the light that helps us see and discover God. The oil represents our behavior, our good works, our slumber and spiritual tepidness.

     This parable also shows us that the wisdom of being prepared for the arrival of the Bridegroom is a personal matter. Each person is responsible for himself, and continually needs to prepare his soul for the final encounter with God.

     The day and hour will certainly arrive when we will stand before the Lord. We don’t know when, but we know it will occur. Don’t let us forget God; he has not turned away from us. Let us make our lives like bright lamps, shining with the light of faith.

LISTOS PARA EL ENCUENTRO

Mateo 25:1-13

“Bienaventurado el que espere”

Daniel 12:12

"Ya viene el esposo, salgan a su encuentro", esto debe resonar en nuestros oídos y en nuestro corazón, nos debe poner en estado de alerta y acción, es un despertador para que no nos quedemos dormidos y para que tengamos suficiente luz, con lámparas donde abunde el aceite de la fe, esa luz que nos ayuda a ver y a descubrir a Dios. El aceite, representa nuestra conducta, nuestras buenas obras, el quedarse dormido, la tibieza espiritual.

Esta parábola también nos indica que esta sabia preparación para la llegada del Esposo es un asunto personal.  Cada uno es responsable de sí mismo y deberá ir preparando su alma para el encuentro definitivo con Dios.

Ciertamente, nos llegara el día y la hora en el que deberemos presentarnos delante del Señor, no sabemos cuando, pero sí sabemos que ocurrirá, no nos olvidemos de Dios, él no se olvida de nosotros. Hagamos de nuestra vida una lámpara encendida que brille con la luz de la fe.
