HUMILITY THAT HEALS
2 Kings 5:1-15
So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.
2 Kings 5:14 (NIV)
Naaman, a powerful general, expected a miracle worthy of his rank. But the prophet instructed him to do something simple: bathe in an ordinary river. At first, he was indignant, because his pride prevented him from obeying. Finally, by yielding and surrendering to the small and humble, he received healing.
How often do we reject God’s answer because it doesn’t match our expectations? Human beings tend to be dissatisfied and expect greatness in matters concerning God. However, God works in the everyday: a sincere prayer, a helping hand, a simple act of obedience. This is how we find true greatness in humility. Naaman was cleansed not only of his leprosy but also of his pride. The Lord continues to invite us to trust in the small things and to discover that it is precisely there that his healing power resides.
Prayer: God of humility, deliver us from the pride that prevents us from receiving your grace. Help us to see your healing power even in the smallest things. Through your beloved Son, we pray. Amen.

HUMILDAD QUE SANA
2 Reyes 5:1-15
