GRATITUDE

1 Corinthians 15:57

Giving thanks to God the Father

Today very early in the morning, when I woke up, I heard the trill of the birds on my patio, and from my heart, like a murmur full of admiration, came the expression: “Thank you Lord, for all that you have given me today”.

Today I don’t want to lose my gratitude, because if I lose gratitude my heart will be filled with sorrow. I want to lift up my eyes and observe all the little things that God shows me and gives to me. Yes, today I will find, without a doubt, many anxieties, and problems; but before I set my eyes on them, I want to set them on the gifts that God has given and be able to exclaim: “Thanks be to my Christ, who has given me so much.”

Today I have a long way to go, but I will see the little things that God has put here to give me joy. There will be time enough to see the stumbling blocks; but before any of that, I want to see the little details that will make me sing a joyful note of thanksgiving to the Creator. May the Lord make his face to shine upon us today.

 

Prayer: Thank you Lord. Your love is so special that each day I can feel it in the small and big demonstrations of your goodness. Why would I forget your goodness and your love today? Let me raise up to you this note of thanks. Amen.

GRATITUD

Dando siempre gracias a Dios

Efesios 5:20

Hoy bien temprano, cuando me levanté, escuché en el patio de mi casa el trinar de las aves y salió de mi corazón, como un murmullo lleno de admiración, la expresión: “Gracias Señor, por todo lo que hoy me das”.

Hoy no quiero perder el agradecimiento, porque si pierdo la gratitud mi corazón se llenará de quebranto. Quiero levantar mi frente y observar todas las pequeñas cosas que Dios me muestra y me regala. Sí, hoy encontraré sin dudas muchas angustias y problemas; pero antes de poner mis ojos en ellos, quiero ponerlos en los regalos que Dios me ha dado y poder exclamar: “Gracias a mi Cristo, que me ha dado tanto.”

Hoy tengo mucho camino que recorrer, pero veré las pequeñas cosas que Dios ha puesto aquí para alegrarme. Ya habrá tiempo suficiente para ver los tropiezos; pero antes de eso, quiero ver los pequeños detalles que me harán cantar la nota de agradecimiento al Creador.

Que el Señor haga resplandecer hoy su rostro sobre nosotros.

 

Oración: Gracias Señor. Tu amor es tan especial que cada día lo puedo sentir en las pequeñas y grandes demostraciones de tu bondad. ¿Por qué olvidarme hoy de tu bondad y tu amor? Déjame elevar ante ti esta nota de agradecimiento. Amén.

Prayer: Loving Lord, you know that I worry when I find myself in situations of sickness, I get distressed and sometimes I despair. But I trust in you who are at my side and heal me from every evil and sickness. You are my healer. Amen.

WE ARE NOT ALONE

Psalm 37:3-4

Trust in the Lord and do good.

Sometimes it’s hard to put certain aspects of our lives into the hands of the Lord and wait for Him to work. One example is in searching for a partner. When we are alone, we often despair and even question whether God really does care for us. It is even more difficult when we fall in love but it is not reciprocated. But God does care for us. He knows our needs, understands our feelings, and knows the best time to answer our prayers. Our happiness should not depend only on that which we have or don’t have in any given moment, it should be affirmed in what we will surely have in eternity. God never failed to keep any of his promises. He promised in his Word that he would be with us every day, until the end of the world. Let us not be afraid of God’s will because it is good and pleasant. Better yet, it is perfect!

 

Prayer: Dear Father, how difficult it is to surrender my desires into your hands! Forgive me for doubting that you always know what is best for me. I know that your Word is the truth, and for this I want to give my life into your hands. Help me to always trust in you. In the name of Jesus, my faithful Savior. Amen.

NO ESTAMOS SOLOS

Salmo 37:3-4

Tú debes confiar en Dios. Dedícate a hacer el bien

Salmo 37:3

A veces nos cuesta entregar ciertos aspectos de nuestra vida en las manos del Señor y esperar a que Él obre. Un ejemplo es la búsqueda de parreja. Cuando estamos solos muchas veces nos desesperamos y hasta nos cuestionamos si realmente Dios cuida de nosotros. Es más difícil todavía cuando nos enamoramos, pero no somos correspondidos.

ero Dios sí nos cuida. Conoce nuestras necesidades, entiende nuestros sentimientos y sabe cuál es el mejor momento para responder a nuestras oraciones. Nuestra felicidad no debe depender sólo de lo que tenemos o no tenemos en el momento, debe afirmarse en aquello que tendremos, con seguridad, en la eternidad. Dios nunca dejó de cumplir ninguna de sus promesas. Él prometió en su Palabra que estaría con nosotros todos los días, hasta el fin del mundo.

No tengamos miedo de la voluntad de Dios porque ella es buena y  agradable. ¡Mejor todavía, es perfecta!

 

Oración: Querido Padre, ¡qué difícil es entregar mis deseos en tus manos! Perdóname por dudar de que tú siempre sabes qué es lo mejor para mí. Sé que tu Palabra es verdadera, y por esto quiero entregar en tus manos mi vida. Ayúdame a confiar siempre en ti. En el nombre de Jesús, mi fiel Salvador, amén.
