OUR MISSION IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE

Mark 6: 12-13

They went out and preached that people should repent.

Mark 6:12 (NIV)

There has never been a time that was easy. Many think the past was better and the present time is a calamity. If we review history, we see how creation has come through difficult times, so has your life. This makes us think that we are living a mission, impossible to fulfill. For our Lord, it was no different.

When we think of gods, we think of divine beings who do not suffer. Jesus wept, suffered, and suffered injustice. The cross seemed like the end, but his mission was made possible by his resurrection. Our mission is not impossible, because God will provide, and you will not be helpless. The burden we carry makes us weak, but this text ends with a great promise. If you accept your mission, although it seems impossible, you will cast out demons, anoint with oil many sick people, and they will heal. This will heal not only their sickness in the body, but also their spiritual sickness. They will preach and repent, because the message from the beginning is simple: repent of your wickedness and return to the path of God.

Prayer: Your grace, Lord, manifests itself in the midst of impossible missions, that we may repent of our wickedness in order to fulfill your plan. Give us the faith necessary to believe and return to your path. Through Jesus, Amen.

NUESTRA MISIÓN NO ES IMPOSIBLE

Marcos 6: 12-13

Y saliendo, predicaban que los hombres se arrepintiesen...

Marcos 6:12

Ningún tiempo ha sido fácil, muchos piensan que el pasado es mejor y que el presente es una calamidad. Si revisamos la historia vemos cómo la creación ha atravesado duros momentos; tu vida también. Esto hace que pensamos que vivimos en una misión imposible de cumplir. Para nuestro Señor no fue diferente.

Cuando pensamos en dioses, a nuestra mente llegan ideas como seres divinos que no sufren. Jesús lloró, padeció, sufrió injusticias, la cruz parecía el fin, pero su misión fue posible por su resurrección. Nuestra misión no es imposible, porque Dios abastecerá y no estarás desamparado. La carga que llevamos hace que nos debilitemos, pero este texto termina con una gran promesa, si aceptas tu misión, aunque parezca imposible, echarás fuera demonios, ungirás con aceite a muchos enfermos y sanarán; no solo enfermos del cuerpo, sino que sanará su enfermedad espiritual; predicarán y se arrepentirá, porque el mensaje desde el inicio es sencillo: arrepiéntanse de su maldad y regresen a la senda de Dios.

Oración: Tu gracia, Señor, se manifiesta en medio de misiones imposibles, que podamos arrepentirnos de nuestra maldad para cumplir con tus designios. Danos la fe necesaria para creer y regresar a tu senda. Por Jesús, amén.

THE START OF A CONSECRATED LIFE

Acts 19

On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Acts 19:5 (NIV)

Baptism is the beginning of something grand; it is the beginning of our union with Christ and the Church. Baptism is not just another rite; it is not an amulet to avoid getting sick; it is not an amulet to go to heaven. No, your life is sealed in union with Christ through the Holy Spirit that you received or will receive in Baptism. We already belong to Christ, not by slavery, but by his great love. John preached the baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins, because the judgment of God was near. Jesus will baptize in the Holy Spirit and fire. The Christian life is about proclaiming the good news and living the faith in service to the needy, the poor and giving your life for others. As one beautiful hymn goes, “I bring my life to you to be yours, Lord, for eternity.”

Prayer: Almighty God, we cry out that through baptism we may be one with you and your church. We cry out that we may consecrate our whole life to you so that we may proclaim the good news to those who are suffering. Amen.

EL INICIO DE UNA VIDA CONSAGRADA

Hechos 19

Cuando oyeron esto, fueron bautizados en el nombre del Señor Jesús.

Hechos 19:5

El bautismo es el inicio de algo grandioso, es el inicio de nuestra unión con Cristo y con la Iglesia. El bautismo no es un rito más, no es un amuleto para no enfermarnos, no es un amuleto para ir al cielo, no. Tu vida está sellada en unión con Cristo por medio del Espíritu Santo que recibiste o recibirás en el Bautismo, ya somos de Cristo, no por esclavitud, sino por su gran amor. Juan predicaba el bautismo de arrepentimiento para perdón de los pecados, porque el juicio de Dios estaba cerca. Jesús bautizará en Espíritu Santo y fuego. La vida cristiana se trata de proclamar las buenas nuevas y de vivir la fe en el servicio a los más necesitados, pobres y dar tu vida por los demás. Dice un hermoso himno: “…Traigo a ti mi vida para ser Señor tuya por la eternidad.”

Oración: Dios Todopoderoso, clamamos para que por medio del bautismo seamos una contigo y con tu iglesia, clamamos para que podamos consagrar toda nuestra vida a ti y así poder proclamar las buenas nuevas a quienes viven en sufrimiento. Amén.

CONTROL YOUR WILD BEAST

Mark 1

“Be quiet!” said Jesus sternly. “Come out of him!”

Mark 1:25 (NIV)

Sometimes, we human beings behave like wild beasts, cruel, aggressive, full of hatred and violence. We all carry within us a wild beast. Can you control your wild beast? The Lord met a person who had an unclean spirit and that was upset with the presence of Jesus. All were amazed at the teachings of the Master; our hard heart can surrender to his love.

Let us allow the Holy Spirit to invade our hearts to control our wild beasts. You control your beast when you do not dialogue with it and you tell it: Be quiet, get out of me! You control your beast when Jesus comes into your life and fills it with love, peace, forgiveness, mercy and joy.

Today it is necessary to control the beast, because we know perfectly well what results when evil is given free rein.

Prayer: Calm, O God, our beast, that which drives your daughters and sons to go against everything around them, inflicting damage that is often irreversible. We pray to you for all those living in situations of violence and aggressiveness. Renew our hearts by the light of your grace. Amen.

CONTROLA TU FIERA

Marcos 1

Pero Jesús le reprendió, diciendo: ¡Cállate, y sal de él!

Marcos 1:25

Los seres humanos en ocasiones nos comportamos como fieras salvajes, agresivas, crueles, llenas de odio y violencia. Todos llevamos una fiera en nuestro interior, ¿puedes controlar tu fiera? El Señor se encontró con una persona que tenía un espíritu inmundo y estaba molesto con la presencia de Jesús. Todos quedaban maravillados de las enseñanzas del Maestro, nuestro duro corazón puede rendirse en su amor.

Dejemos que el Espíritu Santo invada nuestro corazón para contralar nuestra fiera. Controlas a tu fiera cuando no dialogas con ella y le dices: ¡Cállate, sal de mí! Contralas a tu fiera cuando Jesús llega a tu vida y la llena de amor, paz, perdón, misericordia y alegría.

Hoy es necesario controlar la fiera, porque sabemos perfectamente cuando al mal se le da rienda suelta los resultados que tiene.

Oración: Calma, oh Dios, nuestra fiera, esa que lleva a tus hijas e hijos a ir contra todo a su alrededor, infligiendo daños con frecuencia irreversibles. Te pedimos por todos los que viven en situación de violencia y agresividad. Renueva nuestros corazones por la luz de tu gracia. Amén.
