c THE SANCTITY OF THE HOME AND THE HOPE OF WAITING

Psalm 26:1,4; 27:13-14

One thing I asked of the Lord; this I seek:to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life . . . I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Psalm 27:4,13 (NRSV)

Living with integrity requires anchoring our hearts in God’s presence. In the face of daily difficulties and external pressures, the psalmist teaches us not to sit with falsehood or walk in its ways. Our greatest longing must be to dwell in the house of the Lord, to contemplate His beauty, and to seek refuge in His sanctuary.

The Christian faith is not a distant illusion; it is the living certainty that we will experience God’s goodness here, in the land of the living. Even when weariness threatens to make us faint, hope strengthened by prayer renews our strength. For the Presbyterian community in Cuba, this call invites us to maintain a pure witness, strengthening our hearts with courage and patience as we await God’s faithful response.

Prayer: Lord, examine our ways and grant that we may always dwell in your presence. Fill your Church with courage to hope with faith in your goodness. Amen.

LA SANTIDAD DEL HOGAR Y LA ESPERANZA DE ESPERAR

SALMOS 26:1,4; 27:13-14
