THE GOOD SHEPHERD

John 10: 11-18

“Just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.”

John 10:15 (NIV)

The owner of the sheep is the true shepherd. He tends to them and cares for them better than the hired hand. For his part, the hired hand flees when the wolf comes. The flock scatters and is thus destroyed. The good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep!

The same is often true in the life of the church community: not all leaders put the flock first. They do not put the well-being of the church first. Let each one examine his or her own mind and heart!

The relationship between the sheep and their shepherd is as special as that between Jesus Christ and the Divine Creator. It is important to nurture and care for the relationship within the community, fostering just relationships and collective well-being among all: sharing the pasture (material and spiritual nourishment), healing wounds (both physical and of the soul), guiding with integrity, and demonstrating genuine and sincere acts of love. This is how Christ, the Good Shepherd, cares for his church (his flock)!

Christ loved us so much that he suffered and gave himself up to save all humanity.

Prayer: We ask you, Lord, to continue to watch over and empower your church as it fulfills its mission on this earth. We pray for the strengthening of faith, for unity, and for love. In the name of Jesus, the Good Shepherd. Amen.

EL BUEN PASTOR

Juan 10: 11-18

“Así como el Padre me conoce, y yo conozco el Padre; y pongo mi vida por las ovejas”.

Juan 10:15

El dueño de las ovejas es el verdadero pastor. Él las atiende y cuida mejor que el asalariado. Por su parte, el asalariado huye cuando viene el lobo. El rebaño se dispersa y, por ende, es destruido. ¡El buen pastor da la vida por sus ovejas!

Asimismo, suele suceder en la vida comunitaria de la iglesia: no todos los líderes ponen el rebaño en primer lugar. No ponen el bienestar de la iglesia en primer lugar. ¡Que cada uno examine su mente y corazón!

La relación entre las ovejas y su pastor es especial como la de Jesucristo y la Divinidad Creadora. Es importante cuidar y preocuparse por las relaciones en la comunidad, logrando que se generen relaciones justas y de bienestar colectivo entre todos: compartir el pasto (alimento material y espiritual), sanar heridas (físicas y del alma), guiar con rectitud y manifestar prácticas de amor genuino y sincero. ¡Así Cristo, el Buen Pastor, cuida de su iglesia (su rebaño)!

Tanto nos amó Cristo que sufrió y se entregó por salvar a toda la humanidad.

Oración: Te pedimos Señor, que continúes cuidando y capacitando a tu iglesia, en el cumplimiento de su co-misión en esta tierra. Oramos por el fortalecimiento de la fe, por la unidad y el amor. En el nombre de Jesús, el Buen Pastor. Amén.

Anniversary of the Mission Church at San Nicolás de Bari

I AM THE GATE

John 10: 1-10

“I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out and find pasture.”

John 10:9 (NIV)

The true shepherd, Jesus Christ, is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE. He is the open gate to new pastures!

The sheep in a flock will only follow the shepherd whose voice they recognize. This is how it is when Christ calls his disciples; they rejoice at the sound of his voice and respond to his call. Do we hear the voice of our shepherd, Jesus Christ, today amid all the noise in the world? Do we recognize which gate to go through to get to green pastures?

Today we have the opportunity to be nearer to God by entering through the Gate, Jesus Christ. It is the open gate that leads us to the abundance and riches of the Spirit!

Prayer: Lord, may the voice of our shepherd be heard, and may the sheep find their way to the fold and find safety. Amen.

Aniversario IPR de San Nicolás de Bari

YO SOY LA PUERTA

Juan 10: 1-10

“Yo soy la puerta; el que por mi entraré, será salvó; y entrará, y saldrá, y hallará pastos”.

Juan 10:9

El verdadero pastor, Jesucristo, es CAMINO, VERDAD y VIDA. ¡Es la puerta abierta hacia nuevos pastos!

Las ovejas en un rebaño solo seguirán al pastor cuya voz reconocen. Así es cuando Cristo llama a sus discípulos; ellos se gozan al escuchar su voz y atienden a su llamado. ¿Hoy escuchamos la voz de nuestro pastor Jesucristo en medio de tantos ruidos en el mundo? ¿Reconocemos cuál es la puerta que nos conduce a buenos pastos?

Tenemos hoy la oportunidad de acercarnos a Dios entrando por la Puerta, Jesucristo. ¡Es la puerta abierta que nos conduce a la abundancia y riqueza del Espíritu!

Oración: Señor, permite que la voz de nuestro pastor sea escuchada y las ovejas encuentren el redil y encuentren seguridad. Amén.

Anniversary of the “Aida Jorge” (Luyanó) Mission Church

LET US SHINE EVERYWHERE…

Mark 16:15-20

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

Mark 16:15 (NIV)

Not every Christian is called to be a preacher. Nor are all of us called to carry out a mission abroad. However, all Christians are called to participate in and to fulfill the Great Commission that God has entrusted to us: to go into the world and proclaim His gospel of peace, love, and justice to every creature. If we cannot physically do so, we can do it through offerings and prayer.

The call has been made, and the mission is by no means easy. But now is the time to show just how much we can accomplish through our faith. God has sent us out to share, proclaim, and teach that there is another way to relate to one another; one that brings about well-being for all.

May we be instruments in God’s hands, bringing His light and hope to all those around us. May we live lives dedicated to the service of others. May we have the courage to proclaim and live out the experience of your Kingdom, here and now.

Let us shine wherever we go…!

Prayer: Lord, may we be a ray of hope for humanity. May our journey be filled with love and joy to share. Amen.

Aniversario IPR “Aida Jorge” (Luyanó)

BRILLEMOS EN EL SITIO…

Marcos 16:15-20

“Id por todo el mundo y predicad el evangelio a toda criatura”.

Marcos 16:15

No todo cristiano tiene la vocación de ser predicador. Tampoco todos somos llamados para llevar a cabo una misión en el extranjero. Sin embargo, todos los cristianos estamos llamados a participar y, en hacer cumplir, la gran comisión que Dios nos ha dejado: ir por todo el mundo a proclamar su evangelio de paz, amor y justicia; a toda criatura. Si físicamente no podemos; podemos con ofrendas y oración.

El llamado está hecho y, la misión no es nada fácil. Pero son momentos de demostrar cuánto podemos hacer con nuestra fe. Dios nos ha enviado a compartir, a anunciar y enseñar que existe otra manera de relacionarse; que trae bienestar para todos. 

Que podamos ser instrumentos en las manos de Dios para llevar su luz y esperanza a todo nuestro alrededor. Llevar una vida entregada al servicio de los demás. Que seamos valientes para proclamar y vivir la experiencia de tu Reino, aquí y ahora.

¡Brillemos en cada sitio…!

Oración: Señor que seamos un rayito de esperanza para la humanidad. Que nuestro andar este lleno de amor y alegría para compartir.  Amén.
