Fathers’ Day

IT'S SUNDAY!

Hebrews 10:23-25

. . . not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

            Sundays are special days for believers because it is time to go to church to praise God, to give thanks for all God’s mercies, and to hear preaching from the Bible. According to the Commandments, there are six days to work for one of rest. And it seemed that things used to run in a certain order and everyone exercised their rights.

            Many people are only interested in resting and don’t keep in mind the idea of separating a day for communal worship of God. Today in our daily busy-ness, many neglect this vital Christian principle for our spiritual growth.

            The Bible speaks of setting our sight on things above and also affirms that no matter how much we try, we can’t control many things in our lives. It is good now that we can speak in these terms, because we must pay attention to what is really important. This Sunday – today – go to church and receive a word of wisdom that will make a difference in your routine.

 

Prayer: Lord, you are worthy of worship and have given us Sunday to go to church and listen to the wise Word which comes from presentation of the Bible. We also give you thanks today for fathers. Amen.

Día de los Padres

¡ES DOMINGO!

Hebreos 10:23-25

No dejando de congregarnos, como algunos tienen por costumbre, sino exhortándonos; y tanto más, cuando veis que aquel día se acerca.

Heb 10:25

            Los domingos son días especiales para los creyentes, porque es tiempo de ir a la iglesia a alabar a Dios, a darle gracias por todas sus misericordias y oír la predicación de la Biblia. Son seis días de trabajo por uno de descanso, según los mandamientos. Y parecía que antes las cosas marchaban con cierto orden y todo el mundo reclamaba sus derechos.

            Muchas personas solo se interesaban en el descanso y no tenían en mente la idea de apartar un día para la adoración comunitaria a Dios. Hoy, con el afán de cada día muchos descuidan este principio cristiano vital para nuestro crecimiento espiritual.

            La Biblia habla de poner la mirada en las cosas de arriba y además afirma que por mucho que uno se afane, no puede decidir muchas cosas en su vida. Es bueno hoy que hablemos en estos términos, porque se hace necesario darle importancia a lo que realmente la tiene. Hoy domingo, ve a la iglesia y recibe una palabra de sabiduría que puede hacer la diferencia en tu rutina.

 

Oración: Señor, tú eres digno de adoración y nos has dado el domingo para ir a la iglesia y escuchar la Palabra sabia que nos viene de la exposición de la Biblia. Gracias te damos también por los padres en este día. Amén.
