WE NEED TO BE WHERE WE SHOULD BE

Luke  15:1-10

Just so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.

Luke 15:10 (NRSV)

We often believe we have the right to decide who should be part of Christian life and who should not; we even judge churches and people who, following the Gospel’s call, open their doors and arms to those who are not well-regarded by society. Jesus himself was accused by those who felt they owned the faith.

The Gospel is clear, and Jesus calls us to be right where we are needed most, to bring the Good News to those who have been set apart and rejected by social and religious dogmas. There is rejoicing in heaven every time someone who has been denied God’s love is touched by the kindness and compassion of those who have understood the essence of Christian life.

Putting people at the center, bringing them out of the margins, and restoring their dignity should be daily actions in our lives. Celebrating, sustaining, and supporting those who, day after day, restore hope is to bear witness to our faith.

Prayer: God, may we always reach out to those who most need to know about You. May our hands always be open to receive, and our hearts ready to love. Amen

NECESITAMOS ESTAR, DONDE DEBEMOS ESTAR

LUCAS  15:1-10
