RESTING IN YOUR POWER

1 Kings 19:12

The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to keep still.

Exodus 14:14 (NRSV)

When life’s routines tire us out, we can rest in God.  As God knows everything, our doubts and worries will vanish. My heart smiles when I start to pray. I realize once again that I have an option: I can search for the good and treasure its work; I can help those around me even when it hurts, because God cares for me all the time. I am never alone, even if at times it seems that way. In quiet, where some yearn for noise, I recover my strength, recover my balance; I can remain firm in God’s promises and words; I can advance because I have heard his voice; I can trust in God because all will be well, even if I don’t understand how.

Here in the quiet I can see God’s work in me, can feel God’s mercy, sense God’s love and completely trust God. As long as we are close to God’s heart, there is no reason to fear. Our task is to put faith into action, because without faith it is impossible to please God.

 

Prayer: Lord, when I think that you are not at my side, remind me that you are above existence and all that I can see is because you created it. Never let me be too busy to be quiet. Keep us humble, shape our will so that we can follow you and serve you with all that we are, to be useful for your plan. Amen.

DESCANSANDO EN SU PODER

1 Reyes 19:12

El Señor peleará por vosotros, mientras vosotros os quedáis callados

Éxodo 14:14

Cuando las rutinas de la vida nos cansan, en Dios podemos descansar. Como Él lo sabe todo, nuestras dudas y preocupaciones se desvanecen. Mi corazón sonríe cuando empiezo a orar. Me doy cuenta una vez más que tengo una opción, puedo buscar el bien y atesorar su trabajo, puedo ayudar a los demás incluso cuando me duela, porque Él cuida de mí todos los días. Nunca estoy solo, aunque a veces me parezca. En la quietud, donde algunos anhelan ruido, recupero mis fuerzas, recupero mi equilibrio, puedo mantenerme firme en sus promesas y palabras, puedo avanzar porque su voz he escuchado, puedo confiar en Él porque todo será para bien aunque a veces no lo entienda.

Ahí en la quietud puedo ver su obra en mí, puedo ver su misericordia, sentir su amor y confiar plenamente en Él. Mientras estemos junto a su corazón no hay por qué temer. Nuestra tarea es poner la fe en acción, porque sin fe es imposible agradarle.

 

Oración: Señor, cuando piense que no estás a mi lado, recuérdame que tú estás sobre la existencia, y todo lo que puedo ver es porque tú lo creaste. Nunca me dejes estar demasiado ocupado para no estar quieto. Mantennos humildes, moldea nuestra voluntad para que podamos seguirte y servirte con todo lo que somos, serte útiles para tu plan. Amén.

MY GOD, I WAIT ON YOU

Psalm 143:8

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight.

Proverbs 3:5 (NRSV)

Blessed are those who wait on me. Patient waiting isn’t easy; nevertheless, it is good for you. We develop plans with great anticipation, make definitive decisions and make things happen. There is a time for that, but this isn’t the time. Now is the time to feel yourself in my presence, waiting on me with all your being. This discipline will bring an abundance of blessings.

Some of the good things that I offer you will occur in the future. Meanwhile, wait obediently for me; you are increasing the value of those things which have not yet been converted into blessings. Because they are veiled in the mystery of the future, you cannot see them clearly. For the present, there are other blessings. The very process of waiting upon me is beneficial. Keep your soul in expectation as you look to me in hope. Be aware that I am in control, and that you can rest in my goodness. Even if you don’t understand why you have to wait so long, I bless you for deciding to trust me with all your heart.

 

Prayer: Lord, I really don’t understand what’s going on in my life. You know that I’m having a hard time waiting for you. Help me to seek you and trust in you with all my being. Amen.

Aniversario IPR de Placetas

ESPERO EN TI, MI DIOS

Salmo 143:8

Fíate de Jehová de todo tu corazón, y no te apoyes en tu propia prudencia

Proverbios 3:5

Dichosos los que esperan en mí. Esperar pacientemente no es fácil; no obstante, es bueno para ti. Elaboras planes con mucha anticipación, tomas decisiones definitivas y haces que las cosas ocurran. Hay un tiempo para eso, pero este no es el momento. Ahora es tiempo de que te sientes ante mi presencia, confiando en mí con todo tu ser. Esta disciplina te traerá una abundancia de bendiciones.

Algunas de las cosas buenas que te ofrezco se encuentran en el futuro. Mientras esperas obedientemente en mí, estás aumentando el valor de aquellas cosas que aún no se han convertido en bendiciones. Debido a que ellas están veladas en el misterio del futuro, no las puedes ver con claridad. Para el tiempo presente hay otras bendiciones. El mismo proceso de esperar en mí es beneficioso. Mantén tu alma a la expectativa mientras me buscas con esperanza. Sé consciente de que yo estoy en control y puedes descansar en mi bondad. Aunque no entiendas por qué tienes que esperar tanto, yo te bendigo al decidirte a confiar en mí con todo tu corazón.

 

Oración: Señor, verdaderamente no entiendo esto que está pasando en mi vida. Tú sabes que se me está haciendo muy difícil esperar en ti. Ayúdame a buscarte y a confiar en ti con todo mi ser. Amén.

International Children’s Day

THEY SHALL INHERIT THE KINGDOM

Lucas 18:15-17

whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it

Luke 18:17 (NRSV)

Whenever we exalt the qualities of childhood, we mention their naivety, but I propose that we examine those characteristics and experiences from childhood that God invites us to embrace in order to enter his Kingdom.

The child trusts his parents. Let’s trust God.

The child believes everything he is told. Let’s believe in his Word.

The child isn’t worried about tomorrow. Let’s live in the day that God offers in his immense love.

The child doesn’t calculate the consequences of his acts. Let’s say yes to God’s will.

The child is totally dependent on his parents. Let’s be assured that God gives us all that we need.

The child wants to believe. Let’s aspire to grow our souls through knowledge of and faith in Jesus Christ.

The child is cheerful and laughs spontaneously. Our joy is in the Lord and should be seen by those around us.

The child needs a lot of love and can’t develop normally without it. God is love. God loves us as no one else can.

The child shows his love for his parents. We should love God with all our heart and strength.

 

Prayer: Lord, help me to be like a child.Protect me and protect all the children of the world. Amen.

Día Internacional de la Infancia

ELLOS HEREDARÁN EL REINO

Lucas 18:15-17

...el que no recibiere el reino de Dios como un  niño, no entrará en él

Lucas 18:17

Siempre que exaltamos las cualidades de los niños mencionamos su ingenuidad, pero les propongo que repasemos aquellas características y experiencias desde la vida infantil que Dios nos invita a abrazar para entrar a su Reino.

El niño confía en sus padres. Confiemos en Dios,

El niño cree todo lo que se le dice. Creamos en su Palabra,

El niño no se preocupa por el mañana. Vivamos el hoy que Dios nos ofrece en su inmenso amor,

El niño no calcula las consecuencias de sus hechos. Digamos sí a la voluntad de Dios,

El niño depende totalmente de sus padres. Estemos persuadidos de que Dios nos dará todo lo que necesitemos,

El niño quiere crecer. Aspiremos a hacer crecer nuestra alma por medio del conocimiento y la fe en Jesucristo,

El niño es alegre y se ríe espontáneamente. Nuestro gozo está en el Señor y debe ser notado por los demás,

El niño necesita de mucho amor, no puede desarrollarse normalmente si se priva de él. Dios es amor, Él nos ama como nadie puede hacerlo,

El niño demuestra su amor hacia los padres. Nosotros debemos amar a Dios con todo nuestro corazón y todas nuestras fuerzas.

 

Oración: Ayúdame Señor, a ser como un niño. Protégeme y protege a todos los niños del mundo. Amén.
