A SAINTLY PURPOSE
PHILIPPIANS 3:13-14
“...I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:14
On a certain occasion, Dr. R. L. Wharton, entirely by heart, discussed the theme:  What shall I do with my life?
The dedicated man of God spoke of the need to have a purpose in life, and to choose the best purpose.  I’ve heard a lot of talk about the need to have a good purpose. The criminal had the purpose in mind to assault his victim, to strip him of his money and to silence him forever. It would have been better for him to have no purpose at all. There are evil, crazy, absurd and foolish purposes. There should be a good purpose in life. Otherwise, it would be anything other than life. What is the main purpose of your life?  Peter said: “One thing I do.” What was Paul’s purpose?  What purpose did Jesus have? What about John, Peter, Isaiah? May God help you to discover your saintly purpose in life, may you be able to sustain it, love it, defend it, live it and move forward with it. A life which is oriented and determined by a saintly purpose is a happy, stable and secure life.

Prayer: Lord, allow us, through your Holy Spirit, to understand your holy will. Amen.

UN PROPÓSITO SANTO
FILIPENSES 3:13-14
