I LIFT UP MY HANDS
Psalm 77:1-11
I call to you, O LORD, every day;
I spread out my hands to you.
Psalm 88:9
In recent months we have had the opportunity to
celebrate Vacation Bible School at our church. Nearly one hundred children
attended over a period of three days. I
remember that one of the moments of the program most enjoyed by us all—the
children and teachers alike—was that of the singing, because those in charge of
the music sang using gestures.
Among those songs, the one that I liked the most
was “I lift up my hands”. The beauty of
its lyrics and melody impacted me such that I want to share it with you, even
if only so that you can read it, because I am sure that you will like it as
much as those kids did.

I lift up my hands, even if I have a thousand

los días; ¡a ti extiendo mis manos!

En meses pasados tuvimos la
oportunidad de celebrar en nuestra iglesia la Escuelita Bíblica de Vacaciones.
Cerca de cien niños se reunieron durante tres días. Recuerdo que uno de los
momentos del programa que más nos gustaba —a ellos y a nosotros los maestros—
era el de los cánticos, pues los responsables de la música lo hacían con
mímicas.
Dentro de esos cánticos, el
que más gustó fue “Levanto mis manos”. Es una bella letra con un hermosa
melodía, y me impactó tanto que he querido compartirlo contigo, aunque sea solo
para que puedas leerlo, pues estoy segura que te gustará tanto como a aquellos
niños.
