THE FACE OF GOD IN PEOPLE

REVELATION 19:9a

“Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.”

Luke 14.21

We know that the faith we profess in Jesus Christ is founded on the values of the kingdom, values that were identified in his preaching.  The day that we opened our doors to Jesus wrought a radical change in our lives. We now walk with greater convictions, secure and triumphant against the forces of evil.  Remembering the words of Paul: “…may your faith be the sword that frees you from the flaming arrows of the evil one”… our work now testifies to that, that we have freed ourselves from allowing evil thoughts to harbor in our hearts, because if we were once selective with the people who entered our homes, if we passed them through a sieve and chose our friendships according to convenience, that is something we no longer do.  We now admit everyone without discrimination. We are now judgmental of erroneous conduct instead of the people who commit it. Now, through Jesus Christ, regardless of our power, our economic position, or any other difference, we are able to see the face of God in others. And we can only achieve this when we are well aware that: “We can do everything in Christ who strengthens us.”

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, because you have taught us that we are all equal, allowing us to be able to share everything that you have given to all with a sincere heart.  Amen.

EL ROSTRO DE DIOS EN LAS PERSONAS

APOCALIPSIS  19:9a

“Ve pronto  por las calles y los callejones de la ciudad, y trae acá a los pobres, los inválidos, los ciegos y los cojos.”

Lucas 14.21

Sabemos que la fe que profesamos en Jesucristo se fundamenta en los valores del reino, valores que identificaron su predica. El día que le abrimos nuestras puertas a Jesús operó un cambio radical en nuestra vida. Ahora marchamos con mejores convicciones, seguros y triunfantes contra las fuerzas del mal. Recordando las palabras de Pablo: “…que su fe sea el escudo que los libre de las flechas encendidas del maligno”… Ahora nuestro obrar así lo testifica, nos hemos librado de anidar en nuestro corazón pensamientos malignos, porque si antes éramos selectivos con las personas que entraban en nuestra casa, si pasábamos por un filtro y escogíamos nuestras amistades que más nos convenían, ahora ya no lo hacemos. Ahora admitimos a todos sin discriminaciones.  Ahora juzgamos la conducta errónea, pero no a las personas. Ahora nos consideramos virtudes, posición económica, o cualquier otra diferencia, porque por medio de Jesucristo podemos llegar a ver el rostro de Dios en las demás personas. Y esto sólo lo podemos lograr cuando tenemos bien presente que: “Todo lo podemos en Cristo que nos fortalece”

Oración: Gracias Señor, porque tú nos has enseñado que todos somos iguales, permítenos poder compartir con corazón sincero lo que tú nos has regalado a todos y todas por igual. Amén.
