MINORITY

1 Corinthians 2: 21-29

...but God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. (NIV)

1 Cor 1:27a

During the time Noah was constructing the ark, he found himself in a small minority. But Noah triumphed.

When Joseph was sold by his brothers and carried to Egypt, he found himself in a small minority. But Joseph triumphed.

When Gideon and his followers, with their pitchers and burning torches, put the Midianites to flight, they were an insignificant minority. But they triumphed.

When Elijah prayed, and fire descended from heaven and put Baal’s prophets to shame, Elijah was in a notable minority. But he succeeded.

When David went out to fight the giant Goliath, he was a mere lad alongside the determined giant. But David triumphed.

When our Lord, Jesus Christ, was nailed to a cross by the Roman soldiers, he was a very small minority, but his triumph was undeniable.

With God at our side, we are always victorious.

Prayer: How blessed we are, Lord, to be able to count on you in our lives! Although we may walk in solitude, we are never alone. When you are at our side we are a majority. Amen.

MINORIAS

1 Corintios 2: 21-29
